DMV Rapper DoLo TheArtist, born DeAngelo Rufus, March 9, 1992 is an upcoming rapper/singer. The youngest of 3, DoLo grew up in the Metropolitan Area with nothing but a heart full of music. Ever since he was a child DoLo TheArtist dreamt of nothing more than to be able to showcase his artistic talent to the world. He began to fully persue his music when he was 14 as a Freshman at Dr. Henry A. Wise High School in Prince Georges County Maryland. 

"I believe when you're able to take all the trials and tribulations you face and create a picture with words, then that is what births a true artist," says DoLo. Singing from his mother's genes with ambition from his father, DoLo is motivated everday by his family and friends, with his 2 kids, mom, dad, and siblings as his biggest fans. Being told that he has a way with words, DoLo was constantly reminded that he had the ability to be great, "That encouraged me to go harder every time I write", states DoLo. And he hasn't stopped.

Currently DoLo TheArtist is making music with a message, with songs such as "It's Going Down", "Love To See Me Down", and "Diamond In The Rough". He brings a versatile and unique sound to the industry that no one can resist. Letting his life inspire his music, DoLo expresses the struggles, and hard lessons he learned growing up while relating to those who have been through the same trials. Inspired by his favorite artists: T.I. Meek Mill, Drake, Jamie Foxx, and Musiq Soulchild, he too feels that his gifts shouldn't be limited. DoLo states " I want to broaden my horizons and explore several types of genres, writing for other artists and producing, because I know I have the ability to turn anything I touch into gold." 
DoLo speaks confidently about himself and his music, because he knows he can give a positive shock and make a mark in the industry. He wants those who don't know him to one day be able to rap and sing his songs fluently. Giving up isn't and option for Dolo TheArtist. With faith and God by his side he knows he is ready.
