Born, raised, and residing in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Aquarius Jay is a dual-threat Producer/Music Writer with a laundry list of sonic influences. "The Neptunes, ICYTWAT, Jermaine Dupri, 808 Mafia, Monte Booker, Pi'erre Bourne, Wondagurl, Noah 40 Shebib, Boi-1da, Lil Jon, Sounwave, DJ Mustard, Tuamie, Hit-Boy, DJ Dahi, Juicy J, DJ Paul & Mike Will Made It..." Along with his love for music, Jay's passions for creativity, writing, and Black culture are some of the key pillars that make Aquarius Jay the complete version of who he is today.

"The earliest I can remember is being a child & playing NBA Street Vol. 2. Hearing that soundtrack was one of the major catalysts to me wanting to make music. My aunt also used to play a lot of classic early 2000s R&B around me as a child. I have an older cousin who put me onto a lot of underground music and is her son. They were the main reasons why I fell in love with music. In 2013, I started my musical journey. I was given a MacBook in 9th grade by our school & it had a Garageband on it. The rest is history. I was given a cracked version of FL Studio later on by a homie. Since then it's been up."
