These are the tracks that I have created over the past 2 months. I've been happily living in Ubud, Bali during that period, with a short trip to Java earlier in July.

August in Bali

Travel music. I am on a mission to create music tracks as I travel throughout the world. I take a look in the music "refrigerator" to see what ingredients I have an impulsively begin "cooking" making it up as I go with no room for mistakes and in a limited time of several hours.

After being on a rickety old bus careering through Java I just needed to create something that was light, happy and carefree.

I've tried to capture the frenetic trip we just did through eastern Java on a battered old bus.


Hurtling Through The Javanese Jungle in an Antiquainted Bus

This track was inspired by out train trip from Surabaya to Jogjakarta in July 2024. I made it with Logic on the train while it clattered through the Javanese landscape.

Journey Back To Jogja

I made this track on the flight from Melbourne to Bali at the beginning of my 4 month sojourn in Indonesia from June to the end of October. It's supposed to have the vibe of being on a plane across the ocean on the way to the equator.

Cruising Altitude

We drove from Borododur on a road through verdant fields as the sun set in Java while I was making this track, I finished it at Jogjakarta Airport.

Leaving Jogja

I woke up this morning in Bali, the sun was coming up, I felt great and this track is what came of it.

Morning Glory

I created this track as a soundtrack for a series of photographs that I took at Nuanu City in Cece Bali.

Nuanu

I've lost track of what day it is after being in beautiful Bali for a bit over 5 weeks, this track sums up the dreamy feeling I am ensconced in at the moment.

Friday Morning Seems Like Sunday

My little sister turns 70 on August 7, 2024. She was the first female companion I ever had in life, we were wrapped around each other's fingers during the 1950s, even shared the same bedroom, walked to school together each morning. We spent our seminal years together. We are both still going strong.

Netty

From time to time you meet someone like ships in the night. The connection is fleeting but rewarding. This is a track that I created to remember a guy we met in Bali in mid 2024 whose roots are in Beruit and Saudi although he lives in Dubai now. Maybe we'll meet again some day.

Cavallo

I'm treating this track as a bit of an experiment or you could say a demo of an idea I have to introduce vocals to some of my tracks. It's a laid back jazzy, ambient track that I made when I was eating my dinner a few nights agao and then tweaked the next morning.

Mind Mirage

A jazzy, funky track that will serve a s a demo track for something I'll try live in the future.

Optimystic Waves

I was in the gym this morning listening to music that kept me grinding away and decided to give a go at a House track. I hated what I was doing but somehow kept going and ended up with this relatively eclectic track that I  am quite happy with.

Give and Take

I had dinner with some friends last night and they plied me with questions about myself, this is unusual as I'm normally the one asking the questions. I talked all night!

Nocturnal Dialogues

I've been in Bali for 2 months now. Tuesday has become my day to rejuvenate so I've done a track to try to get across the way I feel.

Nothing much to say about this track, just a simple little funky dance track.

I spent a month ar ParQ in Ubud Bali when my wife returned to Australia in August 2024. This piece of music was created during this period and somehow will always be synonymous with my time alone there.
