As part of a continual effort to celebrate the life and memory of our friend and brother, founding DMB member LeRoi Moore, we are releasing his last concert performance as Live Trax Volume 14. "Top Rankin' Bubblah" is Boom One Sound System's 8-bit version of the Jamaican classic, "Real Rock" riddim. In this digital 45, BOSS utilizes old school video game sounds to bring the "Real Rock" riddim into the digital world. Vocalist Mr. Brown debuts with his rhyming and toasting on the track. Mr. Brown's style is reminiscent of the Jamaican super duo, Michigan and Smiley, only Mr. Brown seems to be his own counterpart, as his calls and responses feel as though there are two MCs toasting here. The track is an all around feel good positive party tune, as the chorus would suggest: "Rippin and rockin di riddim, reggae music what we give 'em, it always make we feel a little better when we listen".

Boom One Sound System partners with Jamaican Dub legend Scientist on "Naw Give Up". This roots reggae tune is done with fullness to the fullest. The ultimate one drop is coupled with a fat and heavy bass line and they are introduced through a wonderful horn section playing their harmonies in unison. Classic roots sound...then the vocals drop, along with sweet melodic back ups, with a conscious message of hope and faith, delivered nicely by General Coldhand. This digital EP is the second installment in a series of collaborative work between Scientist and Boom One Sound System.

Boom One’s original music is grown from Reggae, Soul, and Electronica however Dub is the foundation.
