We lost a great friend last night to a hit-and-run accident in New York. Furoche had just finished this podcast up for us, and we know he would want this to be heard by the world. 

Furoche was hands down one of the nicest, most genuine guys we have ever met and his loss is a heavy hit to everyone at Buygore & Dream Brigade. No matter what life threw his way, he always had the most positive attitude towards everything and I can personally say that I have definitely learned a lot from him.

Our condolences go out to his family and everyone who was friends with him.

For example the first time I heard Jehst 'Alien' I threw all my lyrics away, 'cos he had raised the bar. Same with Joni Mitchell. I don't absorb music constantly. When something comes along that grabs me it tends to become an obsession. Every track on the mix has at one point been on repeat, warped my mind and made me want to do something differently or better.. Sometimes musically and sometimes just in life in general."

It's not been intentional, obviously, but consider that he will soon release his long awaited fourth studio album, Future History, perhaps we were waiting for the most apt time to deliver his renowned incendiary selections. Booms and Claps started a year ago this week, and to celebrate our birthday we've teamed with Saturate Records to release the first installment of our BnC mix series. Bios and Zeke Beats absolutely blew us away with this mixtape. The selection is insane, the mixing is full of genius transitions and blends, and Zeke Beats' expert scratching over the top takes it all to another level. When we all listened for the first time, our BnC chat window filled with far more "OMG!!"'s than a group of grown men should ever utter.
