His new EP "Living In Fear" showcases gritty percussion, deep bass, and repetitive vocal stabs shuffled up in unexpected ways.
During their Sound Design studies at Sonic College they released multiple EP’s, organized community-driven raves for local culture-starved youth and did event production for Strøm Festival. They’ve also held residencies at several community radios and combined with their years of experience DJ’ing in the Danish climbing community, Gavnlig has a layered understanding of every step of the sonic process - from inception of musical idea to the scoops and kickbins that make the crowd vibrate." Cosmic Bridge's club focused 'Earthbase Series' continues with 'Nocturnal' the new release from Russian producer A.Fruit. Four tracks that fuse Footwork, Drum'n'Bass, Techno and bold sound design into the 160 BPM framework. After a heavy hitting set of releases via Russian imprint Hyperboloid, Irish modern trendsetters Rua Sound, and the ever vigilant Med School, so please welcome A.Fruit to the Cosmic Bridge roster. 

Label boss Om Unit says: "Anna has a rare ear in this 160bpm world; one foot firmly in the techier sound-design lane, and one in the world of fun dance floor sounds. Well mixed, and not too serious! It's great to have her on board and we look forward to sharing a stage soon!" 

Kicking things off is 'Make Them Shake’, a hypnotic and contorted expression of footwork with bubbling bass and drum FX - only for the boldest of dancers. ‘Polykarp’ comes complete with rugged old school hardcore chops twisted into a technoid stepper.  'Deep Insight’, is reminiscent of early Moving Shadow Jungle; hypnotic & minimalist with tight drums, glitches and jazzy late night moments. Closing track ’Before You Go’ is a breaks filled, garage-footwork workout; cheeky vocal cuts and rolling syncopated rhythms for your waistline!

Yoofee sent me "Arrival" shortly after the release of his "Visualize EP" on TTE and i played it in nearly all my DJ sets. The first drop hits you directly after the intro and can be a bit tricky in the mix but who said DJing should be easy? Of course Yoofee is always developing his production standards and therefore he was a bit shocked that i had to play the tune at this quality the whole time. ;) He polished it into a 110% better VIP version after i signed it for the compilation and i am sure you'll agree that it is one of his best works yet!

It's our favorite time of year! NYC/LA-based Worst Behavior Recs is back with their third annual compilation, "Worst Behavior, Vol. 3" and we couldn't be more excited. With the expert guidance of producer/DJ/promoter/label bosses Anna Morgan and Bell Curve steering the ship, we watched Worst Behavior come speeding out of the gate in 2018, and that momentum has shown no signs of slowing. With three compilations and several single releases under their belt, featuring BnC favorites like DJ Madd, Sinistarr, Samurai Breaks, A. Fruit, and many more, the label's output has been consistently high-caliber. When we think of uptempo bass music imprints in North America, especially in that sweetspot between footwork and jungle with a touch of rave and soundsystem culture, Worst Behavior is undoubtedly holding the torch.

Our premiere today from their third compilation offering comes from another BnC favorite: Leicester, UK's Jon1st. After originally gaining popularity for his phenomenal turntablism (see his 2013 Online DMC World Championship title or official routines for folks like Ivy Lab for credentials), Jon has been focusing more heavily on production the past several years, and it shows. His work with Copenhagen-based Shield has taken the global beat music scene by storm (if you have a chance to catch their live performance, don't miss it!) and his collaborations with folks like DJ CRAZE, EAN, and BSN Posse have been running the circuit in DJ sets and radio shows all over, too. However, today's offering comes in the form of the debut solo production from Jon1st, "Rose Point". A melodic double-time tune clocking in at 160 bpm with touches of amen breaks and footwork percussion that will be sure to get you moving in your seat, "Rose Point" was more than worth the wait for solo Jon1st material. He aligns with fellow west coast bass producers, Konka, and Greazus, for a collaboration and a remix consecutively, making a strong show of why west coast Canada’s producers have been capturing attention across the globe.

Over the past few years, Greazus, aka Patrik Cure and HxdB, have cemented themselves as Canada’s bass ambassadors. Their work as Greazus, and through their agency Triple A Talent has spotlighted western Canada’s growing talent pool.
