Este disco posee temas no solamente funkys, sino tambien algo mas rockeros, tenemos la movida Can You Get to That, que me recuerda un poco al Frank Zappa de la epoca de Over Nite Sensation debido al ritmo de la cancion, tenemos el algo pesado riff de guitarra de Super Stupid, y el ritmo funk de Back in Our Minds. Pero sin duda las piezas centrales de este disco son dos, una es el tema que cierra el album, me refiero a Wars of Armaggedon, sacado quizas de uno de los mayores delirios en la historia del funk, combinando un poco de sicodelia y efectos alucinantes, una pieza no tan oscura como uno pensaria, pero para bailar en un mar de acido seguro sirve... Pero me quito el sombrero ante la mejor pieza del album, y quizas de toda la obra de George Clinton y de Eddie Hazel como guitarrista, me refiero al instrumental que da nombre al disco. La leyenda cuenta que Clinton encontro el cadaver de su hermano en estado de descomposicion en un apartamento, luego llego al estudio y le dijo a Eddie que tocara un solo de guitarra pero con el sentimiento de haber perdido a su madre, en palabras simples dijo algo como "Toca como te sentirias si tu madre hubiese muerto" dando origen a uno de los, para mi, mejores solos de guitarra jamas oído, obviamente la madre de Hazel no habia muerto, pero el sentimiento puesto en su guitarra es enorme y grandioso.
