Dublin born, London-based Zero T returns to The North Quarter for his third project: “Off Broadway”. Influenced by 70's Jazz-fusion, this six-track affair sees the veteran producer once again show off his effortless diversity. Heavier tracks include noir-soundtrack lead modern jungle cuts Fortune Green and Drama. Lighter, soulful tracks include the New Forms inspired Something Got Me featuring Manchester's Aaliyah Esprit as well as collaborations with KILLSWSH and Steo. As always Zero T knows what it takes to keep a listener interested, a testament to his 20 years plus experience, as he continues to be one of the most prolific artists in Drum & Bass.

On the 5th instalment of the Lost City Archives volumes is Denmark's own Main Phase. This EP showcases his production talents being able to turn his hand to anything from UKG all the way through to Jungle. We premiere the track ‘Choral’ from the upper tempos, a ruffneck jungle riddim and certified dance floor filler, pure Sound System business.

Proudly presenting Nookie's debut album for Metalheadz – 'Improvisions'.

A collection of work which Nookie himself calls "the best tracks I've ever written", 'Improvisions' embraces the fact that we don't live in a perfect world. Throughout the project, aided in many parts by Ruth Royall, Nookie expresses his deep-rooted love for the music he's devoted so much of his life to, backed further by a total creative freedom.

As with much of Nookie's music, vocals are a crucial component. Ruth Royall's soul-stirring presence can be heard on six of the album's 13 tracks, including standouts like 'Missing You', 'Part Of Me' and the previously released 'Hero'. Given the vigour and liveliness that both artists exhibit, it is difficult to imagine that they first connected online. Ruth calls working with Nookie "a pleasure right from the start", adding that "the musicality shone through instantly and just sparked endless ideas".

As we head deeper into the album Nookie provides some signature dancefloor fillers in the way of 'Future Forever' and 'Over & Over', as well as lower tempo beats such as '92 Interlude' and 'Smoke Screen'. The assemblage of tracks come together impressively, further cementing Nookie's reputation as one of the most important artists of his kind.

'Improvisions' is released in full on 13th October preceded by a 2-track sampler on 29th September, both pressed onto 12" white vinyl.

We're delighted to welcome Dmytro Iarovyi (Overtown) for his debut EP on Offworld.
Hailing from Kyiv, Ukraine, Overtown is a Drum & Bass producer and sound designer specializing in the Liquid and Deep sides of the genre.

Opening the EP in fine style, 'No More' sets the tone with driving energy, cinematic atmospheres, and melodic touches wrapped around a sparse yet emotive vocal.
He then joins forces with Roi_S on the title track 'Step Into the Silence,' a beautifully deep liquid excursion infused with subtle eastern flavours.
'Mon Cure' dives further into the deep end - a hypnotic journey of chunky drums, low slung muted bass, and delicate guitar and vocal textures.
Rounding things off, 'Empty Heart' closes the EP with a gentle, vocal-led contemporary stepper with layers of synths, arps and ethereal strings.

Cult favourite Submorphics delivers his long awaited debut album “Kodak Dreams” on Amsterdam imprint The North Quarter. 15 year veteran producer Greg Axelrad has been one of America's premiere exports when it comes to Soulful Drum & Bass. His unmistakable 'smoked-out' take on the genre has made him a fan favourite for years. After his The North Quarter debut “Detroit Haze” early 2018, he now returns with his most ambitious project yet: “Kodak Dreams”. Written during a time of great personal highs and lows, his debut album is easily his most personal body of work. The Michigan native drew inspiration from his transatlantic journey and childhood memories to paint this musical memoir.

A multi-genre piece that features vocals from frequent collaborators Big Brooklyn Red, SelfSays, T.R.A.C. and Christina Tamayo, this album brings together Soulful Drum & Bass and LA / Detroit-flavoured Beats with an easy elegance. The album offers a glimpse into Submorphics' past, present and future and is brought together by snippet-sized, Polaroid-inspired narrations, his personal Kodak Dreams.
