Hibernating against an already impressively tight discography, Program has been biding its 

time in unleashing this next release. 

With some of the genre’s most technically adept artists, the track-listing alone is enough to 

grab your attention. There is a high calibre of production standard present throughout the 

LP, audible from start to finish. 

Whether you become submerged by Freek’s rolling ‘Enamoured’, accompanied by the 

pristine vocals of Pia Thaleia, or captured by the apocalyptic sounds of Slang Banger’s 

‘Slaughter House’, every taste is catered for. Program sets aside its older sister label Ram 

and creates a breathing space, allowing it to grow. The label is a heavyweight in its own 

right; this album is only reaffirms that fact. 

And such a range of versatility comes with names both old and new. L 33 returns to the 

imprint, with clashing bass conundrum ‘Manipulate’. Gerra & Stone also make an anticipated 

reappearance; their contribution ‘Po’rdosol’ is a steppy riddim constructed through a medley 

of beats and sliced up sample. 

But relative newcomer Elliott Mac uses the LP as a pedestal for another stellar production. 

The budding artist flexes his capabilities across the soundscape of ‘Filter City’, delicately 

composed yet highly intricate. It’s demonstrative of Program’s dedication to emerging artists, 

sifting through cyberspace to showcase some of the best acts the underground has to offer. 

So now it’s time to prepare your subs and plug in your speakers – Program have made a 

welcome return, further solidifying their position as leading tastemakers with a quality 

ensured guarantee. It’s once again, time to get with the Program!

Lifestyle Music presents FUTURE part one; a seminal release in the history of the label, FUTURE fully embodies one of our main goals at Lifestyle - championing exciting new talent within the drum and bass scene. With this series we will be pushing some less-heard producers, and highlighting some names we're predicting to be big hitters in the future. 

Without mixing metaphors, we've had our ears to the ground on the frontline of drum and bass for a little while now, scrolling through miles and miles of soundcloud feeds, and digging our way through demos, so we are real happy to bring you our first VA of new talent. From the intricate melodic weight of Dvice One's opener, all the way through to Skantia's aggressive funk closing off the EP, each track has a well-defined unique sound, there's something for every set and situation.

‘17 years of Mainframe Recordings’ album. The LP features an eye watering 18 tracks, all of which provide a snapshot into how the imprint has evolved over the course of its expansion. Including newcomer artists who Mainframe are currently investing in, as well as those who Mainframe have had play at their raucous club nights, there’s a host of tastes catered for. And with a name like Disaszt at the helm, the album, the label and its events have been in good hands. 
Tracks like Ripple’s ‘Stranger’, Wingz ‘Definite’, and Halflow’s ‘Progressive ID’ set the mood, showing the talent which Mainframe have at their fingertips when it comes to the fresher waters of drum & bass. Then Mainframe frequenters Dubape, Phentix, Alibi and Smooth pull you into their expert riddims throughout its track listing. Breakpitt & Tenchu offers something different throughout the soundscape of ‘Flashfreeze’ whilst Picota & Kumbh’s ‘Contact’ continues the moodier vibes. Tobax’s cutthroat style is prevalent throughout ‘Overback’ and the head honcho Disaszt returns with Dorian for ‘Boom’. Tuff Gee & Carter’s ‘Pimp Ride’, Manta’s ‘Childhood Memories’, Salaryman’s ‘Soul Reminder’, Akov’s ‘Afterlife’ and Counterstrike’s ‘Fearless’ finishes the exclusively new tracks but there’s more to come, with a VIP treatment of TR Tactics and The Clamps ‘Maggot’. 
As an album, it’s a formidable collection of tracks. But when looking at Mainframe’s vast history, they would need such an LP to pay homage to their legacy and ‘17 Years of Mainframe’ certainly delivers. So, sit back and begin your journey through the album, which is sure to bring back memories from the best club nights over recent times.
