BoriKane is a duo of Bay Area solo Hip Hop artists. Gigio and Taste Nate each have their own dissimilar and unbound style that complement each other to create an off kilter harmony of rhymes and poetry. The name Borikane is an edgy derivative of the term “Borinquen” which is the name given by the indigenous Taino who inhabited the island of Puerto Rico, they combine that with their dope style and flow pattern that creates the “Kane”. These two emcees lyrically embark on an intergalactic adventure to explore the Diaspora of the American brown man and the struggle of being socially accepted as Hip Hop weirdoes. Taste Nate and Gigio are true students of music and are not afraid to experimentally venture across a wide range of sound. They bridge different genres and attack serious subject matter with a witty aroma and a healthy sense of sarcastic humor.  On stage, Borikane is a dynamic team that confronts the audience to think outside the box while giving them plenty of space to have a good funky time.
