Shamadan

For many centuries, Theravada Buddhism 📿🪬 has been the main religion in mainland Southeast Asia. Over the past few decades, Theravada teachings have begun to spread in Western countries. The Theravada is a monastic tradition that views the Buddha as an earthly being (rather than a deity) who achieved enlightenment through 550 rebirths 🌅 and reveres him as a great teacher. The life of the Buddha is the basis of the Theravada tradition. Theravada focuses on meditative practice🧘🏼‍♂️✨🌌 leading to the achievement of the highest state of arhat ("perfect"). It distinguishes two forms of meditation: dhyana - calming the “excitement” of feelings and thoughts, and vipassana - meditation, which involves the highest insight into reality in the light of Buddhist teachings🙏🏽.

The "Fly Like An Eagle" Remix EP is a reflection of letting go and allowing space for loved ones lost the freedom to transition into the next faze of existence. Thea, recorded and performed her beautiful version of the traditional medicine song of Native American roots in memory of a friend dear to her heart who recently passed.

The remixers on the release created their own interpretation of Thea's beautiful rendition of "Fly Like An Eagle."

San Miguel reflected into his own life experiences relating with this topic, creating his beautiful and driving signature sound that so many around the world have come to love.

Binder offers his interpretation diving deep into his personal journey over the past few years of just how fragile life is, presenting a soothing and deep version.

Thea, coming from a a background of being a traditional singer songwriter presents her electronica feel infused with organic beats is her very first remix released to the public, a making it clear that her gift of song goes well beyond her talent of a multi-instrumentalist and singer. As she steps into role as music producer as well, we are excited to see her musical journey touches many.

THEA HANN "Fly Like An Eagle" (Binder Remix)

Raag Bhairavi (Hindi: भैरबी) (Urdu: بھیرویں‎) is a Hindustani Classical heptatonic (Sampurna) Raag of Bhairavi Thaat. Traditionally it is a morning raga. In modern times, at least in Khyal Gayaki, it is usually performed as the concluding (finale) piece in concerts. It is the defining raga of its own Thaat.
Carnatic music has a Bhairavi raga which is quite different from the Hindustani raga.
Hanumatodi in Carnatic music has the same scale as the Bhairavi in Hindustani music.
