Drum and Bass sovereigns Serial Killaz have worked relentlessly to firmly engrave their name onto the walls of DnB greatness. Once more, the duo is back with a fresh new label dubbed Killa Kollective, set to feature a string of exciting collaborative projects.

Having emerged in the restraints of the pandemic, Serial Killaz used the time to unite with a series of fellow artists with the intention of forming an alliance to manufacture a series of new hits.

Posing as the first release from Killa Kollective, fresh joint ‘Drop It’ witnesses Serial Killaz connect with Norwich-based producer Upgrade for an unforgettable collaboration- seamlessly showcasing the fruits of their labour midst lockdown.

Something of an inspired collaboration roster, Upgrade and Serial Killaz fuse together with ease to sculpt the perfect canvas for a refined floor filling track.

‘Drop It’ will be available on full release from February 3rd 2023.

It goes without saying the last year has been pretty phenomenal for drum and bass. We’ve seen many new names shoot into the spotlight, showing everyone just how capable they are at rubbing shoulders with the best. One of these is Bennie – an artist people can’t stop talking about right now. From landing on a major label, Universal Music, with his remix of Baby Queen’s “Colours Of You” last year, to his most recent bootleg of Delerium’s dance classic “Silence”, which Sigma helped turn into an official release on BeatsBassLife.

We’re stoked to say Bennie is back on Born On Road following his naughty chart smashing “Flexin” single with us last year, and this tune is just as capable of persuading your gun finger into action. “One Gun Finger” is the name, and it features none other than Dread MC. Born on Road is a Bristol-based record label and DJ collective firmly rooted at the heart of drum and bass and jungle’s underground music scene. Since being established in 2013, we’ve built a reputation as an eclectic outfit known for pushing good music. It doesn’t matter if it’s jungle, jump up, ragga or some sublime vocal work, if we vibe with it then we’ll champion it to the masses.

This is an attitude born from our history in the underground music scene, where the free-flowing energy of sound system culture formed the foundations of the label’s all-inclusive ethos. It’s the reason why we’ve quickly grown into a sprawling music family who all support one another’s careers. From stage takeovers at festivals including Boomtown and Glastonbury, to signing the most exciting homegrown talents, Born on Road are always looking for ways to drive forward the underground scene, along with the artists inside it.

We may be a new wave music label, but we adopt the old school approach of putting the music first before anything else. This journey has been an eventful one so far, but there’s still plenty more to come on the road ahead.
