With some super slick editing from Andy Sim and Bevan of vocals and skanks taken from the legend Robert Nester Marley’s original cut mixed with up to date Jungle breaks and Aries & Gold Dubs trademark basslines, the track has been a favourite of DJ’s all over the world and is still a popular anthem in danchalls and festivals across the globe today! Ed West returns with an original stripped back jungle work out with vocal duties delivered by none other than the smiley Don Inja, a highly prolific MC who works across all spectrum's of the drum and bass scene.

To accompany Ed's original mix we welcome back some of our label favourites give us their take on the riddim. First up Rahmanee delivers his usual high standard of production! Following on Fleck steps it up a level with a more heavy breakbeat rework and to finish it off Gold Dubs takes us in to the future with some bass heavy artillery!

Born on Road is a Bristol-based record label and DJ collective firmly rooted at the heart of drum and bass and jungle’s underground music scene. Since being established in 2013, we’ve built a reputation as an eclectic outfit known for pushing good music. It doesn’t matter if it’s jungle, jump up, ragga or some sublime vocal work, if we vibe with it then we’ll champion it to the masses.

This is an attitude born from our history in the underground music scene, where the free-flowing energy of sound system culture formed the foundations of the label’s all-inclusive ethos. It’s the reason why we’ve quickly grown into a sprawling music family who all support one another’s careers. From stage takeovers at festivals including Boomtown and Glastonbury, to signing the most exciting homegrown talents, Born on Road are always looking for ways to drive forward the underground scene, along with the artists inside it.

We may be a new wave music label, but we adopt the old school approach of putting the music first before anything else. This journey has been an eventful one so far, but there’s still plenty more to come on the road ahead.

In recent years Gold Dubs has cemented his position amongst the elite within the bass music scene and carries a reputation for effortlessly blending between its many sub-genres to great effect. 
As well as having worked with A-list international artists and released music on top-tier record labels, Gold Dubs also sits on the board of directors as one quarter of the ‘Born On Road’ collective/label (alongside Aries, Kelvin 373 & Stivs) where they not only release top draw music but also tour the worlds clubs/festivals showing you exactly how it should be done.
