Italian DJ and producer Francis De Simone debuts on Lee Foss and Jamie Jones' label Hot Creations with London Bass. Having built a solid back catalogue in recent years, his first Hot Creations release embodies the dynamic sound of the Palermo-born artist, channelling chunky tech house and disco-flavoured melodies. 

De Simone explains his creative thinking behind the EP. "These tracks fully express my devotion to music. I ranged a lot, trying to remember an 80's sound up to a more raw and synthetic groove with Latin vocals to embrace the different ethnic groups." Reflecting his thoughts to a tee, the title track rumbles with a massive bassline and chopped-up vocals that add an instant burst of energy. Things get weird on Saludos A Todos, as thumping kickdrums collide with a trippy melody and even trippier vocals, creating a wavey atmosphere. The ideal club curveball. On Off White, De Simone delivers a pacey number packed with burbling beats and clicky percussion, complemented by dreamy vocals. The hint is in the name on closing track, This Is Undergound. A big room delight, De Simone drops a stripped-back banger, where the lyrics do the talking in tandem with a driving bassline. An excellent addition to the Hot Creations discography. 

Based in Palermo, Italy, Francis De Simone stems from a family of musicians. Having played the drums from age two, the versatile artist can make anything from rock, pop and jazz, but these days, De Simone pens electronic music. His father worked as a bouncer for various local discos and exposed De Simone to dance music from a young age, later inspiring him to produce house and techno with an uplifting tint. 

Releases on Glasgow Underground, LW Recordings and REALM Records have helped shape the profile of this flourishing artist, with plenty more to come further down the line.

Italian-born artist Riva Starr collaborates with New York-based DJ and producer Todd Terry on This Is The Sound. Previously, the pair have remixed each other’s solo productions, but their joint project on Hot Creations signifies a new beginning for the acclaimed producers.
Riva Starr talks about the significance of collaboration.

“Todd has been an inspiration since my early steps in house music,” he says. “With this EP, I just wanted to re-create some of the early house vibes with a modern twist. Feels good to have been able to collaborate with such a legend!” Together, the pair bring Riva’s vision to life on the title track, weaving a classic-house-tinged melody with crisp claps, penning an irresistible groove. Peak-time in every sense of the word. Riva Starr serves his solo offering on Creator, evoking a darker vibe. Chugging drums thump between a squelchy acid melody, paying homage to the birth of acid house in the late 80s, chopped with more contemporary textures.

Based in East London, Riva Starr’s roots lie in Naples, Italy. Having moved to London in 2008, Riva immersed himself in the UK tech house scene, playing across the country in Printworks, Motion, and Orange Yard to further afield in Pacha, Watergate, and Space Miami. As a multi-dynamic producer, Riva’s discography boasts remixes of work by Dennis Ferrer, Fatboy Slim, and Claptone and solo releases on Defected, Black Book Records, and his own Snatch! Records imprint. Grammy Award-nominated artist Todd Terry is a stalwart on the global house scene, breaking through in the mid-90s with the classic house heater “Keep on Jumpin” ft. Martha Wash and Jocelyn Brown. Since then, Todd has produced a colossal body of work on Defected, Inhouse, Freeze Records, and several others, keeping his sound aligned with his New York heritage and reinventing it with a fresh flavour.

Italian DJ/producer Gabriele Toma is shaking up the scene with releases on established labels such as Trick,  CUFF, and Hellbent Records, swiftly capturing the attention of industry giants such as The Martinez Brothers,  Cloonee and Hot Creations label head Jamie Jones, to name a few. Positioning himself as an exciting newcomer  to watch, having previously released his bouncing ‘Lit Bit’ EP on sister label Hottrax, Toma now makes his Hot  Creations debut with his knockout four-track EP, ‘You See Me’. 

“I'm so happy to have signed to my idol's label! it's been one of my dreams since I started as a DJ/ producer, and all of this fills me with pride! I want to thank Jamie and all of his staff for making this possible! For the EP, I was inspired by Jamie, following his style and taking tracks like "Percolator" as an example” - Gabriele Toma.
 
‘You See Me’ opens the release with a low-slung bassline, bustling drum funk, and addictive rap-style vocals that  propel the track as a certified bouncer. ‘Move Your Body’ delivers another groove-led house beat with bouncy  bass hits and skittering female calls, while ’Muevete’ sets the dance floor ablaze with vibrant bongo beats in true  Hot Creations style. To close, ‘Magic Flute’ lives up to its name, with whistling flutes at the core alongside pumping  bass to craft an irresistible after-hours workout.

Hot Creations recruits Italian duo ItaloBros as the pair deliver three vibrant tracks across their latest EP, ‘Gosadera’.

Hailing from Scalea, Italy, ItaloBros have been riding the wave of success, captivating dancefloors worldwide at venues like Ushuaia Ibiza, Motion Bristol, and PM Open Air in Buenos Aires and boasting releases on Kaluki, Trick, and Knee Deep In Sound, amongst others. With 2022 seeing the pair team up with Jerëmie for the release of their single 'Attention' on Hot Creations sister label' Hottrax, February now sees the duo step into the limelight as they drop their solo debut EP on the renowned Hot Creations with a trio of blazing tracks across 'Gosadera’. 

“The creation of this EP was very complex, we were inspired by our origins, by the sound of the South (Italy)! It perfectly reflects our musical taste in a Latin style and a powerful groove!” - ItaloBros. 
Already becoming a mainstay in Marco Carola’s sets, ‘Gosadera’ kicks off with an orchestra of vibrant trumpets and lively bongos layered on top of a relentless, grooving bassline. Next, ‘Story’ takes on their old-school roots, teasing lush piano chords complete with vibrant, punchy drums. Closing out the EP, ‘Amira’ showcases a deeper, sultry vibe with alluring male vocals at the core.

Returning to Hot Creations, having first appeared on the label in 2019 with ‘Discow’, Colombian DJ/producer Jholeyson links up with fellow countryman Luis Martinez in what will be Martinez’ label debut. Established talents in their own right, the duo have enjoyed solo success from Martinez’s Marco Carola backed ‘YAY BOY’ to Jholeyson’s recent anthem ‘PK Dora’, with releases on prestigious labels including Solid Grooves, Deeperfect, Hellbent and Hottrax. Fusing Martinez’s vibrant sound, which draws from his love of 90s house, with Jholeyson’s eclectic tones and deep affection for the Latin genres that surrounded him during his formative years, they unite on Jamie Jones’ revered imprint with the zesty sounds of ‘Chewtastic’.

“This EP was nothing by chance. My partner Jholeyson and I simply combined Latin sounds and rhythms with powerful reinforcements and launched into space!!” - Luis Martinez.

Opening with the lead single, ‘Chewtasic’ delivers a searing beat that dares to get down and dirty under spatterings of soft vocals, combining contrasting flavours into an exciting pumping groove. Jholeyson then goes solo for ‘Faceboom’, diving into even deeper basslines that grovel and growl under minimal but impactful samples before driving the beat up to its peak. Closing out the EP with a dignified rhythm, Martinez unveils ‘XXX’ and leans into a hip hop-esque cadence, securing the cuts with a confident clutch.

A multi-talented figure in the global house landscape, Amsterdam’s M-High has emerged from his ‘one to watch’ tips from a long list of key players in the industry. Up first, ‘Taste It’ merges acidic tones and sci-fi grooves that playfully dance over flickering stabs and lush, soulful vocals. Next, 'This ‘N That’ delivers thudding kicks and swirling sirens that lock you into its relentless breakbeat groove, while ‘Hello You’ harnesses an infectious bassline with assertive percussion and electro-tinged melodies. To close, ‘Search 4 Pleasure’ continues to bring the energy as sparking synths and robotic vocals go to work to shape up the EP in style.

Next up on Emerald City German duo Raumakustik serve up a sonic trip for the senses via ‘Dem A Pree’ with northern talents Patrick Topping and Jey Kurmis onboard to dish out two killer remixes.  
 
Following the huge summer anthem ‘Raider’ which dropped on Hot Creations subsidiary Hot Trax last year, Volker & Seb aka Raumakustik have been gaining an army of fans with releases following on Toolroom, Suara and Formatik. This next release, ‘Dem A Pree’ is a heavy club weapon of the highest order, prompted by dynamic and powerful vocals. “Pree means sticking your nose into someone else’s business,’ they explain. ‘Patrick Topping and Jey Kurmis did just that with our track but in this case it’s a positive thing because their perspectives on sound and vocals made it complete.”
 
Since his first release on Hot Trax back in 2013, Patrick Topping has since become one of the biggest names in the business with an intense touring schedule, a string of successful releases and a prized residency at Jamie’s Paradise night at DC10. Here he spins his signature style into the original with an intoxicating bassline that will shake any dance floor. 
 
Rising star Jey Kurmis has been making a name for himself on labels such as Moon Harbour, VIVa Music and Wow! Recordings since his artist defining EP on Hot Creations last year. Stripping the original back he creates a solid, low slung roller with industrial stabs at the forefront.
