Patrick Wade, better known as Dead Horse Beats is a producer, singer
and multi-instrumentalist living in Montreal, Canada. Since the
release of his first album in 2011, Wade has garnered attention for
his unique brand of hazy, rhythmic, soul-styled creations, and
energetic live spectacles featuring a slough of live instrumentation,
electronics and guest performers.

After the release 2015's acclaimed Single People LP and a brief stint
with London's Black Butter Records, DHB partnered with Brooklyn based Bastard Jazz Recordings for his premiere vinyl pressing - the Fall 2016 release of Bad Hopes EP.

Bad Hopes is the culmination of a new, fully realized sonic direction
for Dead Horse Beats, inspired by the sounds of the Montreal scene in
which DHB is embedded; equal parts glittering R&B, and undeniable deep house inspired soundscapes, fusing fully on Bad Hopes,

Alongside friends and collaborators Frase (vocals on She Said) and
Jason Simpkin (additional production and instrumentation throughout)DHB blends his voice and lyrics with bassy grooves, lush synths and sharp, angular percussion into a cohesive, rolling soundscape.

As we mention on Friday French Producer Yuksek is to release Partyfine Vol.3. Coming out on October 28th, it’s the third incarnation of his compilation series. Partyfine Vol.3 is a special selection of 14 tracks, showcasing one of the most eclectic and special labels to grace the dancefloor of the 21st century.

Partyfine is like DFA’s French cousin and was born as an outlet for Yuksek and his talented network of musicians to collaborate and release music that didn’t have to be defined by a particular genre.  They are now 20 EP releases in from a selection of its artists from Clarens, The Alexanders AKA Alex Metric & Yuksek, JD Samson, The Magician to Poom.

One of the track on the compilation is our Debut Transmission today Ten Ven feat. Breton ‘Repeating History’, we’ve been fans of Ten Ven for a while on Data Transmission since his Mix of the Day for us.

"Floating" is the forthcoming single from Brooklyn based singer, songwriter, and producer Mattie Safer. The former singer/bassist for The Rapture comes back strong with a new track he made with Filip Nikolic (Poolside/Turbotito) that blends the classic feeling of New York's Paradise Garage with a modern electronic sound. Lyrically, "Floating" contemplates an escape to the cosmos, where we can transcend our arguments and differences to find a common humanity.

The third release on Safer's Dream City Sounds imprint, "Floating" is an instant classic and will be released across all platforms on July 28th.

The fact that Christmas is coming doesn't mean you will not be able to fully enjoy this disco-bumpy and summer-smelling EP from Iñaki Hurtado aka Hurlee. 5th release of the uprising label Poetry in Motion presents two original tracks from the Mallorcan DJ (and label co-owner) and a remix by the good hands of Ziggy Phunk, a prolific Disco & House producer hailing from Copenaghen.

Any other words would be superfluous for this incredible EP, so that we just want you to put on a pair of cushy shoes (better look for an 80's model of it), to press the play button and start to dance and enjoy to the maximum! A bunch of fun is guaranteed!

Approaching a hitrate of half a million streams, the Danish Borneland brothers and their collaborator Falcon Punch have decided to give the trace a reinterpretation. In addition to their own dub version, NTEIBINT and AIMES truly delivers on this.

With prior remixes on The Rapture and Chet Faker, NTEIBINT from Eskimo Recordings brings a dreaming smooth groove take on the track. While the Brooklyn based AIMES brings a clubie-big kicks-lush synthetic version with hies signature silky bass lines.

The original track has been a labor of love and nearly two years in the making, and was brought together through a collaboration spanning three countries - the US, Denmark and Slovenia. The song was originally intended to be a remix done by Falcon Punch of the original Borneland track, but the two artists decided to team up and create a new version together, which is what we're sending you today. Guest vocals are provided by Line Gøttsche of Denmark and saxophone was provided by Anton Krutov of Slovenia. Falcon Punch initial met Anton after he submitted a saxophone cover of Falcon Punch's song "Square One". Falcon Punch immediately contacted Anton and the subsequent collaboration followed.
