Continuing the release series on our town of multicultural multimedia hub called Sakskøbing, which has been named after a lovely place in Denmark. This time a true veteran of electronic music DJ Honesty steps up under his moniker Honeydrop. Delivering four cuts of honest house music infused with elements of dub and break this release is guaranteed to cause the turntables feeling good and appreciated, they will be asking you for more. Hans has been producing music fanatically for long time with first official releases dating back to 1995 so it is a true honour to welcome him to the label 30 years later, now in 2025. The release is an intergalactic warm blanket with music on it that is completely ready for different moods and settings of the events/parties/listening sessions one might find itself in. Starting with “Penha de Franca” right until the last track named after the release’s title “Free at Last” a smooth ride can be felt which hopefully by the end of it will set the listener free, if it needs to do so. After two+ years, it finally happened. Faced a lot of hurdles along the way with pressing issues as well as one of the pressing plants going bust & keeping the money for the release so I had to work on finding a new pressing plant/funds. But it is finally here, four tracks that were previously uploaded to the channel: Digital Pimps, Ameba, Interferon, & X-cN. Interferon's remix of Seq Storm was previously only available on CD off the Japanese label Transonic.

Shipping end of August. Bandcamp has limited shipping options so for other countries and registered options, use Discogs or message through Instagram.

We’re very pleased to present the next Seven Hills Digest, this time from Welsh-born, Bristol-based DJ and Red Wax Records head R.E.D!

I recently attended fitf this summer, a relatively new festival near the Welsh border and was immediately struck by the uniqueness of the mix Sophie had recorded for them. After a long drive down the M1 listening to it we knew for sure she’d be one to watch, and weren't disappointed as her set was some of the best music of the weekend. It was refreshing to hear a style of dance music completely untouched by any traces of cliche, tired tropes, or overly rehashed ideas. 

Each of Sophie’s selections have something otherworldly about them, as if they’ve been summoned especially for that moment out of thin air only to dissipate moments later, leaving you wondering whether you’d heard something quite like it before. Interesting rhythms, oddball sounds and a cohesive atmosphere of general weirdness are all things you should expect to hear from one of her mixes.

She’s one of a number of DJ’s who have you scratching your head wondering what you’re listening to while thoroughly enjoying it, and I’m grateful to her for contributing her very first all vinyl mix for us to publish.

Seven Hills Digest 026 - R.E.D

We have now reached double digits with our tenth installment of the bubblecast, this one delivered by Chris Hanks AKA The Shadow. Chris appeared on our radar after attending our June Party at No90 with Adam Collins, Grant Dell & Residents. 

Hailing from Doncaster, Chris delivers us with an insight into his broad record collection with an infusion of old deep, dubby & driving dancefloor orientated grooves of old & new.

bubble.ldn mix 010 - The Shadow

Secretsundaze’s recently minted 9FINITY continues its stellar run of explorations into the outer regions of modern club music with an imprint debut from fast-rising talent Milès Borghese. 

Borrowing elements from early Detroit techno, and Perlonized minimal, the ‘Antic Drive’ EP distills the German-born, Austria-based producer’s broad spectrum of influences into a highly functional, club-ready collection of tracks that perfectly fits the imprint’s modus operandi. 

The A-side kicks off with ‘Do You Ever Fantasize’, a deep club tool built around the vocal sample of the title and punctuated by building drums, alien sonics at every turn, and a mean, highly danceable bassline to boot. The peak time worthy ‘Sustain’ follows an impressive opening, as an incessant mind-looping hypnotic groover aimed straight at the floor. 

The EP’s title track ‘Antic Drive’ opens up the flip. Leaning on subtle textures and almost off kilter percussion, minimal broody deepness is the motive here. Borghese’s impressive first outing wraps up with ‘Mateo Does’, a driving rhythm-heavy track built for late nights and early mornings.
