Alex and Johannes are friends who make music together in their little sonic noise farm in Viljandi , Estonia, Alex is the man behind Boshke Beats Records and Johannes Eriste ( hiding under Earl Peal alliance) is professional drummer and sound engineer . TRIPLE DISTILLED | Boshke Beats Series Ep. 75 | 08/11/2024

Roebin de Freitas has been prolific as of late and more is yet to come. The second EP of Perfidious for instance, is a three tracker full of (un)conventional techno music.

Based on Steven Pinker's 'The Better Angels of Our Nature', the EP opens shop with an offbeat kick followed by an eerie and intricate synth pad called 'Circle of Sympathy'. Quirky and snappy percussion adds that splash of energy making this track excellent for some high brow dance floor action.

'Zero-sum Game' is full of game and will have you reaching for that gain. The droned out bass line and fast arpeggiated bells set the pace relentlessly. No way back!

Third and final track 'Parent-offspring conflict' is the hidden treasure of this EP. A broody bass is at the core when the clap slaps your right in the face. Waves and splashes of synth pads come crashing in more and more for that outer body experience to come through. It will have you yearning for more...

As we turn to the next episode. Eric arranged to meet his father in a cold abandoned warehouse on an industrial estate on the other side of town, a building he knew only too well from just a couple years back. He’d been hanging out with his squatter mates and this is one of a few places they’d frequent. He’d been up to no good well that’s what his father used to say anyway. “I knew you’d come to nothing, you little piece of shit” his father said. “I gave everything to you and this is how you treat me, you ungrateful backstabbing waste of space”, as he sat there cable tied to an old wooden chair, rocking on its uneven legs, now knowing he had been lured under false pretences. “But did you really give me everything?”, Eric said as he sat there staring at canvas sack that covered his father’s disturbed and angered face, whilst he held his gun casually on his lap contemplating his next move…

The soundtrack is the first contribution by Stephanie Sykes of the Midlands, UK. With a history behind her connection to Prodigal Son, she steps up with two of her most impactful pieces to date, “Walking Alone” & “Glimmer Of Existence”. A mind full of inspiration, of sounds taken in from recent ventures and a wealth of experience from her residencies. Having had a very special 2016 this is only the beginning for Stephanie and a sampler for what’s to come. Her tracks are remixed on the flipside of the record, the brutality of South Londoner, Ansome, with his version of “Walking Alone”. Then the melodies of “Glimmer Of Existence” takes a philharmonic reworking from one of Glasgow’s finest Edit Select.

2,5 hours from 17 hours nonstop set at Joshua Tree National Park, California, 2018

There is an intimate celebration party in the high desert of Mojave, California, at the deep and beautiful nature of one of its kind place on earth – Joshua Tree National park, this is happening every year since 2012 and Alex is usually playing there his famous extended nonstop sets where he tries to present all the possible psychedelic dance music to the dancers and space travelers who are lucky to participate in this happening, sometimes those sets lasting for more then 20 hours. In 2021 his nonstop set was 18 hours an d total playing time 23 hours just during one weekend.
Joshua Tree is one of the most cinematic natural landscapes in Americas and the world, this place awakes vibes and senses that hard to describe by words and creates a truly magical atmosphere and vibe.
