Azaad steps out with his own new label, Born 2 Be Free, for the first time here and says that the plan for it is to 'break out of the mold.' The man himself takes care of the first EP and shows the world what he is all about with a fine homage to early garage sounds but with a hint of London grit. 'Dubba Ding' is a nice chord-laced pumper with shuffling beats, 'Feel The Rhythm' is more raw and stripped back with loopy, chopped-up vocals and 'Get Da Runaround' brings warm pad swirls and some soulful vocals to a nice deep garage vibe. Three very useful tracks indeed and a great first EP from this new label.

Brawther and Tristan Da Cunha's Dungeon Meat deals only in rock-solid house cuts designed for maximum club impact. Their Weapons Of Ass Destruction series is a treasure trove of such sounds and the fourth volume is another doozy: Sweely kicks off with some rubbery tripped-out tech, Frederik Anthony spins out on silky and deft percussive tech on 'Shortbacknsides' and Timmy P's 'Your Parents Are Doing It Kev' is a drake heavier stomper for when things get freaky. Boss Priester offers another highlight with the industrial and cosmic tech of 'Today Okay' while JAMM's 'Ignition' is more high-class weaponry.

fitting reflection of his authentic and uncompromising approach to music. Preferring to
operate behind the scenes, Boss allows his music to speak volumes. Over the past few
years, he has been diligently crafting a unique musical identity, producing and curating
electronic dance music that seamlessly blends elements of minimal, house, and techno.
With a background rooted in both music and technology, Boss channels his expertise into
innovative soundscapes, all while honoring the rich heritage of electronic music. His
approach is playful yet deliberate, consciously steering clear of overused musical clichés.
This no-nonsense ethos has led to releases on esteemed labels such as Ba Dum Tish,
X-Kalay, Dungeon Meat, and Locus. His dynamic performances—both as a DJ and live
artist—have graced renowned festivals like Awakenings and Loveland, as well as iconic
venues including 93 Feet East and Lofi. Simultaneously, he continues to release music
independently through his BPDUBS imprint, producing limited-edition cuts in a basement in
Rotterdam, where he maintains complete control over both the musical and technical facets
of his work.
Boss’s recent releases have garnered support from some of the industry’s most respected
artists, including Fumiya Tanaka, Samuel Deep, Enzo Siragusa, Chris Stussy, Voigtmann,
Janeret, and Josh Baker, to name a few. With several upcoming projects in the pipeline, he
remains committed to pushing boundaries and sharing his distinctive sound with the world.
