This song was written somewhere around 2003.  The lyrics for the chorus have undergone a number of revisions before it was finally given the full recording treatment ten years later in March of 2013.

Although an earlier demo was recorded a few years earlier with Bob Nisi and Spencer James, the first lyrics weren't written until 2005 when Pragnus Gray (Steven J. Lawrence) recorded the vocal and piano in a single take at his friend Adam Hirsh's house.
