BLVQ IRIS, formally known as Masedi Mathe, started writing music at the stage of 12. At this stage, IRIS used music as a means to escape the disturbing reality of the conflict between herself and her inner demons. By the age of 14, after her father took her to an Eminem concert, music was no longer just a hobbie for IRIS. She started writing about her life and aspirations, and her complicated relationship with her parents during their ongoing divorce. Between 2015 and 2016, she began attending studio more frequently as she was preparing to release music. By the following year, IRIS had recorded over 20 songs, juggling school, sports and music. In 2016, she co-hosted an event called "#THEBLVQ", which marked the launch of her music as BLVQ IRIS, the Blaq Apparel clothing brand and the record label A.R.T.S Entertainment. Always looking to write from the heART, IRIS writes stories from past, present and future. From love, paranoia and betrayal, to flexing that she's got bigger balls than all the NI&&#$ in the room, IRIS TELLS IT ALL AND TELLS IT TRUE!

Laurence Osborn (b. 1989) is a British composer currently based in London. Laurence Osborn's music has been commissioned and/or programmed by the London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Britten Sinfonia, The Riot Ensemble, Mahogany Opera Group, CHROMA, The Berkeley Ensemble, The English National Ballet, The Hebrides Ensemble, and Ensemble 360, along with performers Sarah Dacey, Mahan Esfahani, Bartosz Glowacki, Zubin Kanga, Lore Lixenberg, and Michael Petrov. His music has been programmed throughout the UK, at venues such as The Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Royal Opera House, The Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, LSO St Luke's, St Martin- In-The-Fields, Milton Court, Wilton's Music Hall, Britten Studio (Aldeburgh), The National Portrait Gallery, The Holywell Music Room (Oxford), The Crucible Theatre (Sheffield), Kettle’s Yard (Cambridge), and at Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (where he was an International Showcase Artist), St Magnus International Festival, Music in the Round Festival, and Ulverston International Music Festival. His music has also been programmed abroad, at Festival Présences (Paris), November Music (Den Bosch), The Georg Solti Hall (Budapest), and in Denmark, Switzerland, and Germany. Laurence's music has been broadcast on BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio 4, Resonance FM, and Deutschlandfunk Kultur. His music has also been released on Resonus Classics, and Coviello Classics.

Laurence won the Royal Philharmonic Society Composition Prize in 2017. He was also runner up in the New Cobbett Prize for Composition (2014) and the International Antonin Dvorak Composition Competition (2013) and shortlisted for the ICSM World Music Days (2018). Laurence has won student prizes for composition while studying at both undergraduate and postgraduate level, including the Adrian Cruft Prize for Composition and the Royal College of Music Concerto Competition. He has held positions in association with LSO Soundhub (2013-15), Nonclassical (2015-17), and the London Philharmonic Orchestra (2017-18).

I grew up in a small town called Laingville, on the west coast of South Africa.
since a young age i was interested and fascinated by Sound. i grew up listening to jazz legends such as George Benson, Jimmy Dlulu and many more. 
i was influenced by my farther, he started a radio station a year before i was born, and by the age of 12 years i was up in there, scratching on soundboards and microphones. my journey took me around the block just to get next door. i moved to cape town at age 14 away from a musical environment and i started hustling for my own equipment. i slowly pieced together my studio over $ years, and i believe im ready now. its my time! 
i want to thank all my family and friends and my fans for the support. its because of you that i am where i am today.
