Con su habilidad  para crear sets únicos y su pasión por la música electrónica, Not a Headliner se ha  ganado el respeto de muchos en la escena. SPOKEN092 - ONID

Foöl discovered his deep passion for techno about three years ago during the early days of COVID. His
first contact with the genre took place at events in Landbouwbelang, which left a lasting impression on
him.
It did not take long for Foöl to find himself deeply immersed in the techno scene of Amsterdam, which
sparked a creative fire within him. This led him to explore DJing and event organisation. As a co-founder
and promotor of Stiltecoupé, he has played a pivotal role in shaping and contributing to the 'new'
landscape and community.
Foöl's style is characterised by a percussion-heavy, tribal sound inspired by the early 2000s. Each of his
sets is driven by a passion for movement and discovery. Foöl's dedication to his craft extends to his
preference for vinyl sets and his talent for playing hidden gems found through extensive on/offline digging
sessions, coupled with a fast-paced mixing style this results in surprising and undeniably danceable sets.

Starlet is a 22 year old DJ & producer from Leiden, with a passion for the 90-00s underground sound. 

While music always stays important to him, Starlet discovered old-school house music at age 18, and directly fell in love. From that time on, he felt the urge to keep exploring that sound, and quickly discovered techno at its forms. 

Driven to bring back that 90's sound, Starlet will keep pushing "old" music with the new techno sound wile learning more and more from the techno legends of the old school era. 
Always discovering new music, while digging all the record bins in town.

This is an excerpt of the release I made for German  label Nixx Neues. 
After meeting Jens Gütschow in Hamburg, as we shared stage at Tic-Tac-Techno event last May in Fundbureau, he offered me to release a track on his Label. I tried to come up with something punchy and epic at the same time. 
With this track, I am dropping the first sketches of a new sub-genre I call "Hypnotic House", based on syncopated loops with an epic texture all along. It has a powerful & energetic feel that makes it ideal for a strong DJ set, to inject pressure on the dancefloor.

Weaving samples of their favorite records into original songwriting, “Fine On Your Own” is a seemingly light-hearted house track that turns deep, with a pounding yet cosmic 303 that beats on your chest while the vocal samples keep your spirits high. By the end of the breakdown, the infectious melody of “Fine On Your Own” has worked it’s way into your head, and you’ll find yourself dancing to it all night long.

While the original track synthesizes each producer’s style, the accompanying remixes transform “Fine On Your Own” into each individual artist’s world of dance music. Nark’s remix brings “Fine On Your Own” into the dark, vibrating basements where industrial subtleties make their return into techno, whereas David Sylvester’s mix juxtaposes the acidic and atmospheric elements of the original, tying them together with dubbed out synth stabs, and finally Futurewife’s mix pulls "Fine On Your Own" into the climax of a party rocking set with its driving nu-disco vibe.

‘Berghain Fünfzehn’ sees @Luke-Slater creating new compositions from the Ostgut Ton back catalogue, chopping, looping tweaking and deploying sounds into a mix that is both a playful retrospective of the label and future-facing vision for mixing and dance music.

On April 17, seven exclusive tracks from the ‘Berghain Fünfzehn’ DJ mix will be released on two 12”s and for streaming/digital download. De- and reconstructing the Ostgut Ton discography, Slater’s vision encompasses not only sampling but live electronics and improvisation, resulting in a broad spectrum of heady and liminal dance music: from ultra stripped-back mindfuck techno, vocals and blasts of distortion to breakbeat excursions, minimalistic acid, and rave polyrhythms. In other words: the arc of the label through Slater’s singular hallucinatory prism.
