Gregory Shilling and Stephen Santa Teresa are hosts of the musical party, The Attire. Friends since adolescence, their bond as artists is revealed in songs with buoyant hooks, iridescent choruses, and irrepressible optimism -- an enticing invitation to an extraordinary soiree with a fabulous playlist. Originating in Washingtonville, NY, a suburban enclave 46 miles, and a world away from the spires of Manhattan, their industrious kinship has endured from high school through college.

The camera enhances the light that surrounds their spirit, focusing on bemused performances by the well-dressed duo with stylish verve and nonchalant magnetism. The Attire has relocated to Los Angeles. Previously writer-producers with SRP Music Group, under the auspices of the platinum team of Sturken and Rogers, and signed to the U.S. division of Japanese powerhouse publisher Avex, they are now affiliated with BMG Songs. On a prior trip to California, they connected with Julian Bunetta, the writer-producer for One Direction, Jason Derulo and Harry Styles, and tracked in the studio with Maroon5 and Louis Tomlinson hit makers, Afterhrs.

The party now continues coast to coast. While future forward productions and sterling songcraft coalesce into a musical aura that is charismatic and celebratory, beneath a polished sonic veneer, The Attire’s deeper philosophy reflects an authentic creed of faith and positivity.

Hear the sound of an R&B flow floating over an electronic bed bouncing with a Caribbean / Afro rhythm, body-rolling to a hip-hop groove and you might find Benjamin Shaffer (aka Jāmin, pronounced jaymin) at the fader. A producer, songwriter, singer with roots as a DJ, he has made a career collaborating, connecting and sharing through music. 

His songs bring artists and styles together from around the globe. The pulse is rooted in his perspective as a DJ – move the body. His tracks are made for movement and speak to both the shared human experience and issues of our times, calling for light, leadership, community, unity and beauty. A strong current of personal responsibility flows while he creates sonic space to also contemplate vulnerability, sacrifice, loss, pain and human dynamics. 

After going on global tour at 18 as a DJ for Geffen Records’ Girls Against Boys, he built Brooklyn music studio Ishlab (a$ap Rocky, Jet, Jadakiss, MIA, Roberta Flack, Mac Miller (RIP)) and gained acceptance into NYU’s Steinhardt School—a first for a DJ who couldn’t read or write music. He then founded Project Rhythm, a non-profit that equips children with life skills through the collaborative process of producing their own original songs.

Benjamin Shaffer's music is made to celebrate the human experience. With his music, he aims to invite movement and spark movements, whether to make moments, make change, or make babies, each song reflects the ties that bind us all together.
