Under the name Menja Mist, she allows for all kinds of genres to be blended and experimented with to create a contemporary musical platform that is not restricted to any specific genre or style.

Already at an early age, she had a fascination and passion for music that has since grown, deepened and evolved from a life of many travels and influences from different cultures around the world.
As a musician ( classical flute), and a solid understanding of Jazz, rhythms and the unlimited possibilities that music has to transmit emotions, she took to Dj-ing some ten years ago, with a preference for the pronounced rhythms and bass-lines of the Deep House, Tech House and Techno Minimal genres.
Her sets take the audience on a journey into groovy rhythms and 'feet-movin' beats.

Born in Sweden, with the ¨Nordic sound¨ as a base, and early on in life introduced to different cultures, she has a varied and vast musical background.

The name Menja Mist is a combination of two females found in Nordic mythology.
Mist was a valkyrie, said to have been one of Odin's servants. 
The name meaning cloud, vapor or mist and reminds of the way valkyries can ride through air and water.
Menja and her sister Fenja were giantesses.
They were bought by King Frode to operate his magical mill, Grotte 
(Grottekvarn).
It was said that the mill would produce whatever was sung by the grinders.
Menja and Fenja were forced to sing about gold, happiness and power for King Frode.
No one had been strong enough to move the grindstone until Menja and Fenja arrived and King Frode would not allow them to rest longer than it took for them to sing a song.
When King Frode was not there to keep an eye on them, they sung songs about armies that would bring down King Frode.
I chose this combination because it so beautifully encompasses the power of music with the subtle magical mist of creativity.

Keinemusik is a network with the label as the pulse pumping centre. Driven particularly by the spirit that moves the collective behind the imprint. The spirit to find your own agenda and let nobody get in the way. The spirit of refining House and Techno off the beaten path. Be it within their own tracks, within productions of other sorts or DJ-sets. The spirit of recall value within record- and flyer-artworks and everything intermediate in word and image surrounding releases and parties. And the spirit of diversification – Rampa’s effect-gadget-venture TEILE being one example. Keinemusik’s own booking department ‘Worldwide Dancing Club’, established in 2018, being another.

Keinemusik has been around since 2009. It has been naming an existing friendship and linked interests of the four members – &ME, Adam Port, Rampa and Reznik. A more or less constant count of five releases per year have been released ever since, solely laid down by members of the crew. And a considerable count of label-parties went down, not only in Berlin, but around all international focal points for electronic music. And surely, there’s plenty more where those came from.
