Pour ce 97e épisode du Foutoir, une touche féminine ça fait du bien, surtout qu'attention les yeux, @ravintsara est la moitié du label @dustandblood, fondé avec son ami, à la vie à la scène, @damon-jee. Originaire de l'île de la Guadeloupe, Mala Ika est une DJ et productrice d'afrotechno et techno mélodique. Fondatrice de Beweird et connue pour son hyperactivité et son énergie derrière le booth, Mala Ika utilise sa pop culture et son côté geek pour distiller une musique originale et épicée. Ces dernières productions ont souvent occupés les tops de Beatport et c'est ainsi qu'un ovni aux cheveux roses est apparu.

Pour ce numéro 168, c'est @zaatar_music qui s'y colle en nous faisant le grand honneur de nous transmettre un set enregistré à la Machine du Moulin Rouge le 24/01/2025 pour les 5 ans du label @ritmofatale...
La musique de Zaatar est la combinaison particulière de ses deux origines : marocaine et belge. Elle trouve son inspiration dans le mouvement post punk et EBM de la fin des années 80 et du début des années 90. Ses morceaux sont donc construits autour d'une ligne de base grinçante et rugueuse qui crée l'ambiance pour des danses corporelles frénétiques. Des mélodies et des sons hérités de son pays d'origine - le Maroc - complètent son paysage sonore d'une manière qui lui est propre.

Zaatar | Foutoir Moderne #168

Pour ce numéro 169, entre rythmes et notes, @maddrod incarne la curiosité qui sommeille en Rodrigo Pinheiro (c'est son vrai nom). Originaire de Lisbonne, DJ, producteur et directeur d'Inner Shah Recordings, il défie les frontières entre les genres de la musique électronique grâce à une approche à la fois nostalgique et avant-gardiste. Installé à Berlin depuis 2022, il a redécouvert son identité à travers un son rétrofuturiste qui a culminé avec son deuxième album studio, Sad Behaviour (2023) – une plongée robuste, punk et intime dans le passé, tournée vers l'avenir. Après sa sortie, il a passé un court séjour au Portugal, renouant avec la scène club du pays, créant sa série d'événements, Panthera, et travaillant sur Sad Behaviour: Expanded Edition (2024), qui a ajouté quatre nouveaux singles à l'album.
Son dernier album, l'EP Make You Sweat, sorti sur Inner Shah en février 2025, prouve qu'il maîtrise parfaitement la recette de ce mélange de genres. Rétro, brut et implacable, son son donne le pouls du mouvement.

Oups ! On croyait avoir terminé la saison mais on a reçu le mix de @Zanias qu'on attendait avec impatience... Alors c'est l'occasion de finir (cette fois-ci) la saison en beauté !
Originaire d'Australie, elle vit à Berlin depuis 2013. Ces dernières années, elle a collaboré avec certaines des figures les plus respectées de la musique électronique... Si ses sets live sont un spectacle et une catharsis menés par une performance vocale intense, dans ses sets DJ et hybrides (avec chant live), elle exprime cette force émotionnelle sous la forme de mélodies évocatrices, finement tissées de rythmes industriels et de lignes de basse EBM, visant à émouvoir à la fois le corps et l'esprit.
Auparavant connu comme la voix des groupes Linea Aspera (avec Ryan Ambridge) et Keluar (avec Sid Lamar de Schwefelgelb), Zanias est une artiste solo, DJ et producteur, co-fondateur du collectif berlinois Fleisch dont elle dirige désormais le label du même nom.
Son premier EP "To the Core" (2016, Noiztank) comprenait le titre "Follow the Body", devenu incontournable des dancefloors techno du monde entier. Fin 2018, elle a enchaîné avec son premier album, "Into the All" (Candela Rising), un voyage d'éveil psychospirituel hors du commun, fruit d'un long travail d'enregistrement et d'expérimentation. Après 4 LPs, elle s'oriente en 2025 vers un nouveau projet "Serpentskin", plus trance et rave et surtout orienté dancefloor.

Darlyn Vlys is a name many might not know, but you definitely would’ve heard his music. Releasing on labels from Get Physical to Sincopat to name a few, the producer’s tight productions have received airtime courtesy of a wide range of DJs from Maceo Plex to Curses to Öona Dahl. His most recent Kronos EP, a collaboration with fellow Frenchman Damon Jee on Correspondant Records, is a dance floor tool of epic proportions designed to ignite, and unite, in equal measure.
