Wah Wah 45s are proud to present the brand new single from one-man horn driven funk music machine, The Gene Dudley Group. 

Following on from last year's dance floor smash, No Trouble on the Mountain, featuring Anne Frankenstein on the microphone, Gene Dudley returns with more soulful vocals, and a sure fire festival hit for 2015. This time the vocals come courtesy of one half of U.S. duo Myron & E (Stones Throw) with the latter of the pair lending his velvet tones to the hypnotic, sweet summer soul of the BBC 6Music favourite, I've Changed. 

On the flip comes a secret weapon every DJ will be after over the festival period. Gene's version of Todd Terje's Inspector Norse is a funk driven horn-fest and takes the modern dance floor classic into exciting new areas. So much so, that it can already count Gilles Peterson and even Terje himself as fans! 

Look out for the Gene Dudley Group's sophomore LP, Zambidoose, dropping this July and accompanied by a plethora of gigs across the UK with the full live Gene Dudley Group band.

After a killer vinyl debut on Piccadilly favourites Aficionado and a serious sophomore release on Music For Dreams, A Vision Of Panorama returns on his own Mellophonia imprint with six coastal grooves for summer moods. "Floral Rhythm" opens the set with blossoming keys, lilting rhythms and a bouyant bassline, overpowering your senses with the lush atmosphere of tropical horticulture. "Seaside Tune" sees the producer slow the tempo and indulge in a spot of diasporic downbeat, layering the yearning chord progression with a combination of Chinese and Caribbean melodies. Closing the A-side out with the dancefloor in mind, Mikhail delivers "Blues 909", a head nodding fusion of compass point instrumentation and pitched down proto house that'll loosen the early doors crowd up no problems before "Heartbeat" takes the night to its next level. A solid beat underpins layer after layer of killer melody played on xylophone, marimba, guitar and arp, while the irresistible Burrell-esque bassline moves those hips like an orthopaedic surgeon. "Message From Library" follows on with the leftfield funk and steady backbeat you'd expect of a KPM classic, marrying stargazing vocoder with cinematic strings, before the stunning "Mosaic Xylos" closes the set out. As beautiful as its name, this Balearic dream brings to mind "C'est La Oate" and "TV Scene" with its sunkissed groove and future primitive instrumentation. Classy, cool and refreshing, this EP is the perfect soundtrack for summer, and yet another essential release from A Vision Of Panorama.

Far Out Monster Disco Orchestra returns with Black Sun, its second full-length album of 100% original, unadulterated disco sophistication, featuring members of the pioneering Brazilian jazz-funk trio Azymuth; a full orchestra with arrangements split between Arthur Verocai and Azymuth’s late maestro Jose Roberto Bertrami; plus members of the legendary Rio funk group Banda Black Rio.

Since its critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2014, the FOMDO imprint has released a string of remixes by some all-time greats of dance music, including John Morales, Theo Parrish, Mark Pritchard, Marcellus Pittman, Andres, Dego, Volcov, Kirk Degiorgio and Al Kent. To huge effect in clubs and festivals around the globe, some of the more recent remixes teased the new album material, which for the first time, is presented in its original, soul-heavy incarnation, alongside instrumental versions highlighting the album’s stunning arrangements and compositional brilliance.

Far from a throw-back – with disco music firmly entrenched in the modern club vernacular – Black Sun is ecstatic dance music at its finest.
