Here We Go Again

“Above the Grave” went through several iterations before becoming what it is today.  It began as a short-lived Alternative Rock band called “Apostrophe” in late 2010.  Due to creative differences “Apostrophe” went through several lineup changes and ultimately disbanded in early 2011.  All remaining ownership was relinquished to the guitarist.  The band was renamed “Tribal Surf” in 2012 and went on to produce one Tropic Rock track entitled “Welcome”.  The band gradually fell into a hiatus and never reformed, however, the guitarist continued to produce solo tracks under the name “Tribal Surf” until late 2013 at which time he renamed the band “Above The Grave” (A name which was comically suggested by a dentist).  The name matched his intended direction and “Above The Grave” took root.  It has existed primarily as a solo project from 2013 to the present and has produced over 400 original tracks and partnered with several featured artists.  The band categorizes itself primarily as Hard Rock but is influenced by a wide range of artists and has written and recorded songs in several genres.
