Let's meet our dj for episode 491, Cheetah:

1. Tell us about upcoming releases/gigs that you're excited about.

First of all, cheers for having me on. This summer I have a few different projects in the works. The track I'm most excited to release though would have to be my contribution to a Vibez 93 V/A  coming out this June. It’s a wacky, fairly crazy track that took quite a while to make but I enjoyed the process a lot. You can hear it at the end. In terms of upcoming gigs I'm super gassed to be travelling from Bristol to Amsterdam to play for N4 x Singularity x Percy Mingle on the 13th of May B2B with close friend and super talented producer Janaway. Super gassed to bring the UK flavors to the continent. 

2. Tell us 3 tunes in your sets that have been making the dance go wild.

Probably the tune that’s caused the most damage as of recently has got to be by the man himself, Tim Reaper and his remix of Lady Anne - Freeze. [54:18] Everything about this tune is complete gas. Three different super energetic basslines, steppy yet choppy drums and a crazy unique snare roll half-way through all woven perfectly together at 168 is a recipe for destruction. Another tune that i’ve been spinning in all my sets is Bow Street Runner’s remake of Lloydie Crucial - Ribbon In The Sky. [10:00] The soulful classic got a tasteful touch up with a slightly ragga twist from the Sub Code Records producer and it’s been getting people moving ever since i got it on my USB. Lastly, an old Green Bay Wav that I’ve recently stumbled upon on Bandcamp called ‘With the quality’ from Percussive P has been a vital part of my sets. [47:41] It features crazy vocals and a bubbly sub bass all delivered with the (distinctively crusty) quality.

3. True or false, can cheetahs roar? Why do you think it's true or false? You cannot use the internet to help you with this one.

Damn. First thought would be more of a meow as they’re a big cat but so is a lion and lions definitely roar so… I’m not too sure I’d probably go for a very weak meowy roar so yes cheetahs can roar. This one definitely can’t though.

A spacey intro that leads into hardcore riffs giving off ecstasy feels which then rolls into a deep breakdown. This one is a club ready track and has been tested by top selectors such as DJ Storm, Flight, Madcap, Pete Devnull & more! A great tune to set the mood and introduce an Amen to the room. 

B - PIXEL RATE. 

Pixel rate is an Amen focused track complimented with a crisp vocal. Halfway a stripped back breakdown is introduced alongside a rolling bass and is ready for any dance. This track is a prime example of Kazza’s diverse production. This one will have you hooked instantly.
 
B2 - FEEL IT (Tim Clay Remix)

With the excitement around Feel It and having so much fun playing it out over the last year this dub caught the attention of Tim Clay and I thought it would be wrong not to ask him to put his touch on the track…

Tim Clay never fails to amaze me with his production showcasing the perfect cross over of where Jungle & Drum n Bass meets.

Tims remix starts off with a rolling breakdown which builds up to a HUGE amen using the FEEL IT vocal chopped into wicked stabs which are unforgettable. For the second drop Tim wanted to do something different. If you know the tune Splash - Rebels you know.
