Woodkid, de son vrai nom Yoann Lemoine, est à la fois auteur, compositeur, interprète, graphiste et réalisateur. Après des études d’illustration et d’animation à l’école Emile-Cohl à Lyon (il y décroche son diplôme avec mention), il décolle pour l’Angleterre où il étudie la sérigraphie à l’université de Swindon.
De retour sur Paris, il réalise en 2006 une série d’esquisses pour pour Marie-Antoinette de Sofia Coppola. Woodkid s’est surtout fait connaître à partir de 2007 pour les clips qu’il signe pour plusieurs artistes français comme Yelle (en 2008) et Nolwen Leroy (2009).

Entre 2009 et 2010 c’est la publicité qui lui ouvre les bras. Il réalise la campagne ” Graffiti ” contre le SIDA, elle est vue plus de 10 millions de fois sur YouTube. Il reçoit pas moins de cinq Lions au Festival international de la publicité à Cannes.

En 2011, après avoir réalisé des clips pour plusieurs artistes, il décide de sortir ses propres compositions avec un premier EP. Son single ” Iron ” est accompagné d’un clip qu’il a lui-même réalisé. Tout en noir et blanc, ce premier clip personnel laisse entrevoir l’univers très particulier de cet artiste.

The title track celebrates the incredible diversity of the Australian soundscape, and highlights what we stand to lose without taking action. Be immersed in a chorus of shrieks, screams and bellowing from all corners of the country, from our ancient forests, dry deserts and remote Antarctic coastlines.

A collaboration between the Australian Conservation Foundation, The Bowerbird Collective and Wild Ambience, this project shows that Australians will not allow these precious voices to be silenced. The album cover and liner notes feature stunning artwork by children who entered the ACF's Wild at Art competition.

Nickodemus and the Turntables on the Hudson crew return for Volume 10 of the long running compilation series, showcasing the eclecticism of the infamous, now worldwide party. Entitled “Uptown Downtown”, this compilation CD paints a picture of the dancefloor from the beginning to the end of the night at TOTH’s NYC Summer 2015 Uptown home (La Marina in Washington Heights) and their year round downtown home, above the clouds at Le Bain on top of the Standard Hotel in Manhattan. Douglas Greed has arrived in Berlin and continues his circles. For the shining title track of his new Fenou release "True Blood" he gets vocal support from MAMA, who may know some of her productions with Tiefschwarz or Argy. „Just Keep Swimming“ is a magical, hypnotic tune just perfect for the sunrise. On „Silly Me“ he also plays with ambient sounds. But the dry and stumbling beat propels you until Monday noon. After his split EP with Dapayk solo in 2015 and the previous "Fenou Bouquet Vol.3" compilation, we are pleased to have Douglas back with us.

The 50th release on Sol Selectas Records comes from the label founder himself - Sabo, and features the musical talents of a mother & her son, as represented by the title Earth & Sun. Twenty year old Elijah Sage plays the ancient ravanhatta string instrument on the opening track "Young Wisdom", weaving an emotional mid tempo blanket to lie under the Sun.  "Obatala" is the story of the Sky Father Orisha, who creates all human bodies according to Yoruban mythology. The deep tribal groove is complemented by the vocals of Elijah's mother Nikila Badua, representing the roots of the Earth.

Nicola Cruz from Ecuador, delivers a stellar remix of "Obatala"  taking us high into the Andes Mountains, where organic percussion and live marimbas flow like wind through the valleys. Blond:ish transforms "Young Wisdom" into a psychedelic tech house trip, adding infectious build ups and mind-altering  drums for peak time energy. And lastly Paris' Birds of Mind take us on a voyage into deep bliss with their ethereal reinterpretation of "Young Wisdom". 
The artwork by Helia Jamali, represents the loving balance between the Earth & Sun, and the energy they have created, makes the puppy flower dance in the desert wind.
