Born and raised in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Former DJ now a father of three, just recently found out that creating music with headphones somehow magically silences all of the usual daily commotion. 😁 Now seriously... I know it's not anything groundbreaking but I really do hope you like it. Im starting every song with just a simple beat and see where it leads me. Hope you enjoy the journey!

I am DJ Transaction Producer/DJ from Brooklyn NYC since 2004. When I create original music, I'm always keeping in mind to do something different that no one else is doing. Also recently, i been focusing more on the story telling of my songs rather than just seeing if melodies fits together. Story telling is what AI will and can never do in music and it is what will set the humans apart from generic music. For the above reasons is why I will never restrict myself to only one genre. I come from a background of watching 90s manga, Listening to Jungle mixes on tapes, Going to raves and having a BLAST. 

I go through stages , sometimes I like to listen to Synthwave, synthpop or Neurofunk or funk. I have a varied taste in music genres and it goes way more than what I've listed.

BOXA is a British DJ and Techno Producer.

Real name – Jamie Boxall, the now Cornwall, UK-based artist grew up between Germany and UK and was spoon-fed a diet of hard house and techno from his parents whilst studying music theory.

After learning to play piano and violin. Early adult years saw BOXA began to DJ at local nightclubs -realising a clear raw passion for Techno music and all sub-genres between. 

Only last year did he begin studying music production and creating his sound on an MPC and AKAI MPK at home. Heavily inspired by special artists like Maya Jane Coles, Nina Kraviz and Daria Kolosova - a big focus went into crafting heavy drums, melody hooks and quirky sampling of childhood computer games – the end sound floating between dark-tinged peak-time Minimal and driving Techno.

BOXA’s energetic, hypnotic, and percussive sound was quickly noticed by @PuzzleProjectsMusic & @HOT-GROOVERS label boss @BenSpaldingOfficial, who signed two singles titled ‘Bandicoot’ and ‘Salty’ for release on the latter label in May 2023.

The future is exciting indeed for this dedicated and fresh artist.
