[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] presents the 88th release — Castle From Indistinct Dreams (@shadow-recruit) “Galactical Traveller EP” — a voyage through cosmic depths where even nebulae seem to pause and listen to the pulse of dub rhythm. The Novosibirsk artist turns the universe into a personal travel diary: each track is a station on an uncharted orbit, each sound a distant system’s reflection — barely tangible, yet strikingly alive.

::: Sonar Ping to Your Soul opens the EP like the first impulse of an interstellar radar cutting through layers of inner silence and resonating directly in the heart chamber. It’s not just a ping — it’s an invitation to fly, a encrypted “we're connected” signal wrapped in deep echoes and soft bass vibrations.
::: Shades Of Stars is a map of stellar light where dozens of invisible hues merge into a shimmering pattern. Here, stars don’t burn — they whisper, refracting through filters and delay, as if trying to tell a story about a distant cold where life still pulses quietly.
::: Another Kepler-Planet transports the listener to a world absent from astronomers’ catalogs but alive in the imagination of Castle From Indistinct Dreams. It’s woven from transparent rhythmic structures, as if the atmosphere of this planet were made of sonic spirals moving in sync with celestial rotation.
::: Gas Giant Orbital Bar is a rest stop for intergalactic travelers: a bar orbiting a massive gas giant, serving drinks under a soft dub haze. Time flows lazily here, and each beat flickers like an ion flash outside the porthole.

Following 2019’s ‘New Atlantis’ LP under his experimental techno alias @Efdemin, Phillip Sollmann’s ‘Monophonie’ is a project dedicated to uniting different strands of utopian music. His approach: combining and recontextualizing rare historical instruments of sonic research of Hermann von Helmholtz (19th century) with the self-designed, microtonal instruments of Harry Partch and metal sound sculptures of Harry Bertoia.

The result is a psychedelic investigation into just intonation – alternative tuning systems that create unique sets of harmonics not found in conventional scales. ‘Monophonie’ recasts these sounds into new rhythmic environments where epic kosmische, polyrhythms, acoustic techno and microtonal glow are interwoven into a rare music.

Over nine tracks, the album explores multiple forms of minimalism, from unwavering repetition to paired-down chords and sparse sonic environments. But it also seeks to expand the sound spectrum of Partch’s custom built organs and melodic percussion instruments as well as Bertoia’s sonambient singing metal rods into an atmospheric otherworldliness.

‘Monophonie’ was first composed in 2016 and premiered at Berlin’s Volksbühne theatre in 2017, before it went on to the renowned Ruhrtriennale and Kampnagel in Hamburg. It was performed by one of Germany’s premier neue musik collectives Ensemble @Musikfabrik together with Sollmann himself on von Helmholtz’s original double siren, with set design by Michael Kleine and wardrobe by Peter Kisur of Honeysuckle Company.

As a skilled DJ and seasoned promoter, Billy Spike Iland has been organising stand out club shows in Dublin over the last few years, bringing over the likes of DMX Krew, Mortiz Von Oswald, CEM & Mama Snake with his Utopia Collective which is Co ran with Adam Mc Croie. 

Label owner Theo Nasa says “We have devoted ourselves around weird electronic sounds from the start of the label taking our time carefully selecting tracks, but now it's time to show our first VA with majority of up and coming producers showing that they got, plus underground heavyweights bursting through".

The title track 'Emergency 138' brings the listener on a deep, dark, driving, hypnotic, techno journey which will be released as a free download on October 16th, 2020 on Alien Sound Trax label.

Dublin DJ and producer Jack Fleming aka Son Orbis has stepped up to the controls as our 118th guest on our ever growing Local Selection mix series.

We're blown away by the constant flow of mixes and tunes coming from this island. We always strive to represent both up-and-coming and established artists at Four Four and we're delighted to have reached over 100 mixes in a few short years. Today it's a massive welcome to Son Orbis. 

Over the last few years Son Orbis has played regularly at clubs such as Wigwam, Button Factory and Hangar. The young producer has been working hard on the production side of things the last two years with releases coming out on Eton Messy Records and Milkit Sounds. With both releases gaining support from the likes of Joris Voorn, A Trak and 1-800 Girls to name but a few.

'This mix is blended with 90’s Trance, Bass, Breakbeat and Techno. All styles I’m really inspired by right now'.
