Jon Hester returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids Special Projects with a thundering four-track techno EP.

Previously appearing on Rekids with his two-part ‘Converge’ album released across 2020 and 2021 after multiple EPs on Rekids Special Projects, Jon Hester now readies his next release, ‘Action EP’. A no-holds-barred presentation of the Berlin-based DJ/producer’s latest upfront techno, the release shows Hester in fine form as he returns to the Rekids universe.

Leading the release, ‘Scrape’ sees densely reverberated hits spar with pumping kicks and rattling percussion, leading into the trippy metallic synths, textured claps, and sparse pads of ‘Blinker’. ‘Sirens’ ignites the dance floor with a cacophony of sirens and drum machines taking the lead, before ‘Arise’ rounds out the release with wonky low-end, FX-laden hits and vocal gasps.

Lee Holman's performances as a live act and DJ have taken him to prestigious venues like TRESOR Berlin, Khidi Tbilisi, and Corsica Studios London. Known for his vast record collection and dynamic performances, Holman's productions have earned international acclaim.

The upcoming EP evolved organically, with three of the five tracks being part of Holman's live shows for NECHTO events. The lead track, "Wave upon Wave," was recorded live after an event in Kyiv, while the other two were from a session at Khidi Tbilisi. Holman initially did not plan to release these tracks, keeping his live performances unique for each night. The bonus track, "It's Not Over," features a beautiful vocal piece and soulful techno accompaniment.

Inspired by nature, particularly the sea surrounding his island home, Holman channels this inspiration into his music. The five tracks of 'NECH026' reflect his signature deep, raw, and energetic techno sound.

The trip begins with “Voltages” by Cirkle, a sharp and direct cut built for the floor, followed by “Tides” by Red Rooms, an hypnotic journey driven by an entrancing vocal hook.
“Phonolith” by Border One brings a mental and groovy touch, while “Basic Instinct” by Hemka stands out for its captivating arrangement and refined sound design.
The first record closes with “Your Hands Forget Their Shapes” by Hadone, a truly memorable track destined to stand the test of time.

The second record opens with “The Radius” by Temudo, one of his most acclaimed digital tracks now available for the first time on vinyl, followed by “Etched” by Hurdslenk, a powerful and driving piece of precision techno.
Next comes “Nardo” by Pierre, a modern, groove-heavy weapon with a distinctive sound identity, and “Serpents” by Ketch & Alessio Landini, a hypnotic and tribal tool for any moment of the set.
Closing the journey, “Zone 0” by Danya delivers a mystical and immersive ending that transports the listener into another dimension.

TWR72 opens the EP with 'Ultraviolet', an energetic, club-like cut based in a closed and looped rhythm, with a vibrant, minimalist and industrial vision. The sequencing of his bass - giving him futuristic feelings – and the subtle sound of bells adds attraction to a cut intended to blow up the toughest dance floors. What Alderaan proposes with 'Linö' is an insider techno journey, introspective by nature, textured and exciting. From a dystopian environment and in loop, all of it has one main idea: moving and touching the listener’s mind. Tuber through 'Second Choice' bets on a predominantly techno cut, as floor-friendly as abstract. Here is a sign of his love for the anabolic and the fierce and for that mentaloid touch that sometimes becomes schizoid. Albert Van Abbe closes the EP with 'Inguma One', a cut that is an extract from the 'Broken Cymbals' set he recorded for Semantica. It's a dub passage in which he uses granular synthesis to create deep and icy atmospheres, giving rise to complex and escapist textures.

Mixmag Adria proudly premieres a track from Out Of Place's jubilee 10th release. With a steady flow of quality techno releases for the last five years including artists as Developer, Alien Rain, Francois X, Joe Farr, Insolate, Volster and many others, Out of Place now features the young and perspective Greece producer - SERA J. Four track release is a fast-paced techno movement tinted with a variety of different drum sounds, lush stabs and even some old school raw moments bound to make damage on the floor.

Hailing from Thessaloniki in Greece, SERA J. is rolling his combination of melodies, powerful basslines and strong rhythmics since 2008. Being a local artist of executive underground projects in his city, he has shared the booth with some of the most talented international & local artists, like Stef Mendesidis, Jonas Kopp, Dax J, Ben Klock, Paal (Voitax), Keith Carnal, Setaoc Mass, Paula Temple, Axel Karakasis, JudaΣ, SNTS and others. As a resident artist of the local SINS project in his city and sharing his passion for music with the audience, in 2020 he launched his project called External Project. Also, he's been working closely with the Rework Festival as an official technical and stage manager.
