VII Circle launches his Destroy To Rebuild imprint with a ferocious techno release entitled ‘Fearless EP’, featuring Crystal Geometry and Buried Secrets remixes.
With a background in Post Punk and Metal, VII Circle draws on a range of influences from outside the techno norm and his releases on the likes of HEX Recordings and on his co-founded Rapid Eye Movement imprint exhibit his dark and tough approach to four-four. Following on from his Boiler Room debut for the HARD DANCE series, VII Circle now turns his attention towards crafting a new label entitled Destroy To Rebuild that will focus on techno, industrial, EBM and uncompromising soundscapes.
‘Fearless’ sets an intense scene with rigorous and killer drum programming alongside stereo-spaced synths, giving rise to an immense aural trip. ‘Revolt’ then echoes the atmosphere from the opening track while bringing an electric tension into the mix with layered-in zappy rave-esque chords and ruthless percussion, the breakdown will set on fire the dancefloors out there.
Next, French artist and Sonic Groove producer, Crystal Geometry, reimagines ‘Fearless’ by bedding in aggressive vocals, shuddering synth lines and searing stabs. Finally, Monnom Black and Green Fetish Records imprint artist, Buried Secrets, sends ‘Revolt’ into otherworldly territories with pulsing keys, saturated sub-frequencies and racing hi-hats.

New label Unconfined Records announce launch with a formidable four-part compilation series Kicking off with an 8 track VA001 titled Quantum Entanglement in September. 

Each VA will feature an international cast of groundbreaking artists with a shared passion for electronic music production. Handing over full creative control to their artists, Unconfined are setting out on an exploration of infinite sonic possibilities across the electronic spectrum. 

Born in Glasgow, but spreading its roots across the globe - from Turin to Taiwan - the label strays fearlessly from the mainstream. Founder and label head, Charl Fouche, believes the labels criteria enables them to release a diverse selection of tracks: There are so many varieties of techno. At the end of the day it is noises being morphed to sound a certain way. It all comes down to the individual listener and what sounds their ears choose to hear. A lot of thought and effort is put into making sure all the artists and tracks are somewhat complementing each other. 

A collaborative effort, Various Artists 001 [Quantum Entanglement] takes a global standpoint, staking out a sound that draws on as many genres as it does international influences. 

Fresh and eclectic with a complete disregard for the conventional, Unconfined Records have successfully assembled an impressive horde of unreleased weapons from a whos who of the hottest names in the scene, before enlisting the talents of internationally revered DJ and producer JoeFarr to master them - and this is just the beginning.

Masked Techno assassin Buried Secrets returns for his 2nd EP with Soma with the ‘Of Lost Things EP’. Rave infused, hard hitting, face pounding Techno is standard from Buried Secrets and this latest release is nothing less than that. The EP feature two stellar remixes from two of techno’s most exciting acts in Obscure Shape & SHDW and Inhalt Der Nacht. Both of whom stamp their own unique style on the originals. 

Title track Of Lost Things opens the A side in true Buried Secrets style as euphoric synths are balanced perfectly against driving, punishing kicks and sub. Obscure Shape & SHDW turn their production prowess to Of Lost Things with a straightforward and direct Tool Mix of the original.  Harnessing the power of the synth hook and warping it to their will. On the flip, Affliction Of The Absent renders more high octane Techno. More minimalistic throughout, the industrial vibes are still prominent with subtlety being the key. Inhalt Der Nacht turns in a more cinematic driven affair with his remix of Affliction Of The Absent. A slow burner that utilises epic sound design showing 432ha fantastic and generally unheard, side to his productions.
