Insolate Recorded Live at We Are Not Alone 1st of May Weekender at RSO.Berlin 2023.

True powerhouse of the Croatian techno scene, Insolate has been establishing herself worldwide as a DJ and producer for over 20 years. Hailing from Osijek, Croatia, in the far east of the country, she took her first steps as a DJ in 1997 before moving on to European and global clubs. 

As a DJ, Insolate is well known for her pure and energetic techno sets. It is clear to anyone who has seen her perform that she is an artist with a lot of experience, but also a lot of inspiration and ambition, and a deep knowledge of techno. She is simply a natural presence in a DJ booth. If you've seen her play, you will know exactly what this means.

Öspiel is a French-Korean electronic music producer and DJ. He is known for his impactful and sound design-rich music. His aesthetic is defined by a combination of industrial grooves and textured soundscapes, lending a captivating touch of elegance and authenticity to his conceptual techno productions.

Ahead of their performance at our We Are Not Alone x Movement Detroit official afterparty this Sunday, we are proud to welcome the legendary Paranoid London to our BPitch podcast series! 

Paranoid London have become synonymous with stripping acid house back down to its basics. Rescuing the sound from smiley faces, rave, and sugary excess. Referencing instead its gay, black, American roots. Taking the underground overground. Knocking out not hands-in-the-air anthems, but rough, rude, raw jack. Not safe, slick, or soulless, but joints purposely over-driven, distorted, and full of tape hiss.

Based in Aachen in Germany since 2014, Ayako Mori is a Japanese Techno DJ and producer. She started her career in Tokyo around 2000 and then moved to Europe (Ireland, Poland, Germany), where she got very much involved in the local scenes. She is currently a resident of Gegen Berlin at the infamous KitKatClub and is playing worldwide.

After her debut on UFO Inc earlier this year along Linn Elisabet, we are delighted to welcome Stina Francina to our podcast series! 

Berlin-based DJ and producer Stina Francina originates from Gothenburg, Sweden, where she fell in love with electronic music in the intimate underground club scene. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant energy and sensation of freedom found in those spaces, Stina's sets and productions radiate a highly energetic and playful yet raw emotional vibe, with an emphasis on a driving narrative and a tendency to convey feelings that often lean towards melancholy, yet hopeful and yearning. While influenced by a wide range of genres, she holds a special soft spot for old-school trance, which often shines through in her sets and productions as they are infused with similar emotional atmospheres while reinterpreted with a fresh and personal twist.

Canadian-born Rhys Fulber is widely known in the industrial and electronic music circles for his EBM trailblazing with Front Line Assembly, chart topping with Delerium, and dramatic melodies with Conjure One. Additionally holding a grey cardinal status in metal and a variety of other genres, Fulber is a respected producer whose discography and work speaks for itself. 
Rhys Fulber now opens a new chapter, sculpting both intricate and hard hitting music best described as "Future EBM".

After a short summer break, we are delighted to welcome Adriana Lopez to our podcast series!

The Colombian artist, currently based in Barcelona, brings over 20 years of unwavering dedication to electronic music and club culture. She remains a recognized standard-bearer, celebrated not only for her productions but also for her DJ sets, where she unfolds her broad, rich, and comprehensive vision of techno with vivacity, never conforming to any conventional sound.

Known for her raw, hypnotic and driving techno, Adriana has released on labels known to nurture this sound, such as Spanish labels PoleGroup and Semantica, as well as Stroboscopic Artefacts, Modularz, and her label, Grey Report.

Born and raised in Detroit and based in Berlin, Alan Oldham a.k.a. DJ T-1000 has been called “Detroit Techno’s Renaissance Man”. Not only is he the owner of the legendary Detroit labels Generator and Pure Sonik, and a veteran international techno DJ, the Detroit-born polymath is also an accomplished graphic illustrator, known globally for his iconic artwork for Djax-Up-Beats, +8 Records, Transmat, Astralwerks and many other electronic music labels.

It is a great pleasure to welcome Crystal Geometry as the latest contributor to our podcast series!

Drawing from Post-Punk, Black Metal and Industrial, French producer and live artist, Maxime Fabre, has risen to acclaim under the Crystal Geometry alias, returning to his roots in the warehouse rave scene of the 90’s and industrial music, fusing Belgian EBM influences with post-modern, modular-engineered Techno. At its core, the project is built around an evolving analog modular synth, accommodated by haunting live vocals and abrasive distortion.
Fabre’s live performances transpire into an all-out assault on the body, marching through dystopian territories, manipulating sounds into menacing frequencies. Equally punishing extended hybrid and DJ sets have given further scope and context to the alias, building weight throughout the global circuit of clubs, warehouses and spaces.

Next up in our podcast series: AADJA, a Newfoundland-born DJ, singer, and producer, whose sound is inspired by nature and her early musical training. After exploring electronic music in Australia, she returned to DJing and production, quickly gaining recognition with her unique blend of ethereal, fast-paced techno. 

AADJA's multifaceted sound is constantly evolving, blending old-school and contemporary elements to create unpredictable and energetic sets. As a key figure in the Canadian techno scene, she has expanded her reach internationally, blurring the lines between acid, trance, and techno with euphoric pads and punchy drums that light up both the studio and dancefloor.

About the mix: 'This one hour mix begins with David Lynch and ends with Objekt. My sets are quite adaptable in terms of energy and direction, I am by no means a purist at all. I like to play whatever feels like a natural expression according to my mood and environment which changes a lot. For this, I really felt like creating a mix that is much deeper, cosmic, and more fluid. Recorded at home in Berlin, this mix includes tracks by Ellen Allien, Sleeparchive, Amotik, Reptant, Marcel, Mike Parker, and plenty more precious gems.'
