Connaisseur Recordings is popping the corks, with good reason. The Offenbach based label is turning five. To celebrate its birthday Connaisseur Recordings releases „CINQ - A Connaisseur Retrospective. Remixed.“, a Compilation full of exclusive and tastefully selected remixes, showcasing the label's unique and versatile approach to electronic music.

„CINQ“ features reworks of successful and special tracks in the label's history. Remix treatment comes from Connaisseur's distinctive roster of artists: Amongst the felicitators are Patrick Chardronnet, Estroe, Wareika, Daso, Afrilounge and Federleicht. “CINQ” is being released on 3x12" vinyl and a special 12” vinyl features three more exclusive tracks from Connaisseur’s back catalogue. Including the full digital bundle, Connaisseur will release an exclusive selection of remixes digitally only on top of that.

Over the course of the last five years Connaisseur Recordings has always been a stronghold for fresh talents and exciting new music. “CINQ” is keeping on course, offering upcoming producers a platform to show their skills. With Distortion from Chicago, Portuguese producer Eduardo Tavares alias Himan, the super hot act Of Norway from Oslo and the splendid colaboration of James Kumo and Roberto Bosco aka Ku.Bo, Label-head Alex Flitsch is proud to welcome four new and at the same time promising faces to the ever growing Connaisseur family.

Throughout 2011 Connaisseur will be on the road celebrating its five birthday. The kick off for the birthday tour was at Frankfurt’s Cocoon Club with Timo Maas, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Alex Flitsch constituting the line-up. With such a go the next five years of Connaisseur’s history will pass within the twinkle of an eye and lots of exciting music on the way.

The first release of the year from Hot Trax comes from the German duo Raumakustik, with Jamie Jones on remix duty. Having had recent releases on a Grain Audio, Ipoly & Mangue Records, “Raider” is their debut on the Hot Creations subsidiary.

Raumakustik deliver a high energy and rhythmic track with ‘Raider’. The industrial tech-heavy sounds are perfectly mixed with catchy drums and a calling bell. Over on the B-side, Jamie Jones delivers a darker remix to drive music lovers to the dancefloor.

Sebastian and Volker are Raumakustik. They have been creating music together for a number of years and believe in creating tracks that will not only bring listeners to the dancefloor but also stay in their memory.

Jamie Jones launched Hot Trax in 2012 after wanting to create a label that moved away from the well-known and popular sounds of Hot Creations. It has been described as a label for the “headstrong” with previous releases coming from Patrick Topping and wAFF.

The fifth release of VBX, "I Change, Just Like You" will soon arrive directly from Ferro, one of the main exponent of the Amsterdam-based collective.

The Dutch producer is recently on fire: apart from delivering "Limbic Resonance" VBX004 circa 8 month ago, produced together with Reiss as Spokenn, there were severals and insisting rumors around him to be the Unknown Artist behind a heavily-endorsed tune played this year.

Overall, his stamp on VBX record label is significant: the first two-ever issues, which played a major role in kick-starting the imprint ("Time Will Tell" and "Meeting In Another World") are from Jasper himself, confirming his creativity in studio and setting the last couple of year as the most prolific to date.

His growth as a DJ and producer goes at the same fast-peace VBX is going, with both breaking milestones one after the other in short period of times. His duo-project with his friend Reiss, which we featured not long time ago, is booming, with both set to appear in Ibiza for Carl Cox project One Night Stand at Amnesia and DC-10, respectively on 02 July 2018 and 10 August 2018.

VBX005 is a two-tracker EP. The name Endresonic - the A side of this two tracker - subtly references the Norwegian vocalist, who's haunting voice lends the percussion heavy and uplifting track a visceral quality. It's the type of track that you will be humming the day after you heard it being played out by your favourite DJ, wondering what it could be.

Dark Revelations on the flip feels almost like the Mr Hyde to Endresonic's Dr Jekyll. Countless heady modulating soundscapes, gurgling bleeps and blobs, subtle percussive elements and an eerie voice - with Ferro's signature groove as the backbone holding it all together - ensure a trippy, almost cerebral, listening experience. 'I Change, Just Like You' provides the listener with an aural glimpse into the multidimensional universe of sounds that Ferro calls home.
