I wrote this song at Newark airport. While waiting on a plane to Las Vegas. ( I won the trip a part o￼f sales comp) As I was trying to write, I noticed people looking at me. I kept thinking about what others would think about me and I decided I didn’t care. The other part of the song is knowing that I’m going to the city of sin. ￼I may do some bad things and so I’m sort of asking God to forgive me in advance.

daydreaming in a nightmare

This is a true story about a dresser I bought from an antique shop before I went off to college.  It apparently belonged to an admirer?  lover?  of someone who appears to have died in the Battle of the Bulge.  I actually looked for a J.R. in official military records, but there were 19,000 people killed in that single battle!  This started an interest in history for me that I wish i would have had when I was struggling with history class in high school and college.  RIP J.R.
