We have the honour to present to you a fresh mix by none other than Arcturius! Brightening your day in a musical way, this mix takes breakbeats from the atmospheric to the dark. No matter where it goes, it does so with silky smooth transitions and impeccable flair.

Dutch DJ and producer Arcturius has been influenced by several pioneers within the Drum & Bass scene, such as Aphrodite and LTJ Bukem.
Within her first year behind the decks, Arcturius has played at events such as Hospitality x Subquake, Liquicity Winter Festival, Curated by Shogun Audio and Blackout XL,
followed by festivals such as Hospitality on the Beach, Liquicity Festival, ADE, WTF x Valkhof Festival and her debut UK show at Critical Sound x PTRNS in her second year.

Ben Smith aka Spacematters was introduced to drum and bass in the early 2000s by close friend Bangaz. Not long after, he teamed up with a crew of like-minded heads—Darg, Mullet, Fog, and Luckman—to form 2FG, making their mark at gigs across New Zealand’s South Island.

By the mid-2000s, Spacematters began crafting his own beats, drawing heavy influence from artists like Loxy, Pessimist, The Untouchables and a solid network of producers , his sound evolved with a clear focus: pushing the darker, deeper, and more underground realms of DnB.


Spacematters continues to champion the raw edge of drum and bass, staying true to the roots while forging ahead with a forward-thinking approach to sound.

'But thy eternal summer shall not fade'. What a beautiful mantra it is! We mean who in their right mind wouldn't want an ever-lasting summer to just trickle on and on! With a name inspired from Shakespeare's famous Sonnet 18, the Shall Not Fade (SNF) crew have been providing the globe with dope dance for more than 2 years now.  Boasting a clique featuring the likes of Mall Grab, DJ Boring, Baltra and Anthony Fade, these guys are sitting high and mighty in club land.
 
The latest instalment is the SNF019 pack, brought to by Silk 86 (soundcloud). Consisting of Londoners Finn Casey and Thomas L, this duo breed a warm, percussive-laden take on house. Think that sort of house that relaxes yet stimulates all at once.
 
Kicking the EP off comes 'The Shine' a lo-fi jazz enthused deal. Featuring an old school, motown-esque vocal snippet, this one's dominated by bongo hits and squelchy keys, a tune to set the mood for an evening of jive.

Next is 'Rhapsody', the tune we're ever so chuffed to premiere. I'd coin this one a whirling disco/house infusion. A track that'd almost certainly be well received at any dance occasion, it exudes positivity. Beginning with rustling hi hats, airy synth tones and bell chimes we're sucked in headfirst.Joining the audio comes a muffled female vocal loop worming its way into the score. At this point I don't feel the need to describe the number any further, as it spirals on for 6 and a half minutes in glee!
 
As we topple over to the B side, we're met with the appropriately titled 'The Other Side'. With an authentic acid flavour, this tune's a spacey breeze. Consisting of rapid-fire keyboard and scuttling percussion, this track carries an uber-cool lounge feel.
 
And capping it all off is a rework of the aforementioned tune from a state compatriot of mine in Mall Grab (Jordan Alexander). Hailing from the coast of New South Wales, Australia..it's been pretty hard to miss this young mans antics over the past year or more. Based now in London, Mall Grab gigs relentlessly across Europe, holding down slots at some of the largest electronic gatherings known to man. Adding his signature, stark hi hat's and fluctuating tech stabs, 'The Other Side' is gifted a new lease on life. Played loud and clear in a club room, this will certainly send crowds into rapture! Point of the story, stay aligned with the Silk 86 boys and their close pals at Shall Not Fade and bask in a great bundle of dance.

Following on from T.R.A.C.'s debut D&B album on V Recordings in 2017 we're really excited to reveal a thirteen track remix of the album: Life In Remixes

Anyone who has ever visited Brooklyn will have seen its wide mix of cultures, ethnicities, and renowned musicians living within some of the most historic neighbourhoods in the world. It’s birthed many great MC's and artists of all genres, one of those being T.R.A.C.

Recognised internationally throughout his career as one of Americas top flight mic handlers, T.R.A.C. has shared stages with an ever growing list of A-class DJs such as LTJ Bukem, Roni Size, and Goldie (to name a few). Whether it’s his silky smooth verses, or his drive to deliver meaningful lyrical messages, T.R.A.C. is artist who has been quietly putting his American stamp on the UK D&B scene. None more so than with the release of his debut D&B album in 2017, Life in Motion, which boasted an impressive list of features including the likes of Calibre, Serum, Lenzman and Bladerunner. Four years on, we’re proud to unveil ‘Life In Remixes’.

The remix project sees another huge roll call, thirteen A-Listers put their spin on the original album including the likes of Benny L, Artificial Intelligence, Need For Mirrors and L-Side. We’ve already seen six chart-topping remixes peeled off as singles, receiving huge praises across the board, including plays on Radio 1, Rinse FM and more.
