Born in 2015, just outside of the city limits on the north side of Franklin, NC, Woolly Adelgid is a band of brothers who came together to get down. Americana, Rock, Funk, Soul, Psychedelia and Church all come and go, 
meld and wrestle. Trevor Nowicki, Paul Bourcq, Joe Matthews, and Jeff Southerland are the core of the project and we've been blessed with a whole crew of others who come and go as they can. Four people under-represented on these tapes, but who played a big part in our development are: Justin Moe, Jeremy Angel, Chris Moe, and Kevin Martin. We started making simple recordings with 2 microphones run into a digital 8 track recorder. 2500 hours of tape later we took a few snippets of these live recordings and Trevor posted them to Soundcloud. A band was born into the digital age. We came together to make music outside of a box straight from the heart. Rooted in something old and shamelessly reaching toward the transcendental we built up a whole empire of real Music. But, things fall apart. As of August 2018, Woolly Adelgid is taking a sabbatical of unknown length. The tapes here are a culmination of 3+ years of labor and love, trial and error, magic and trafalagar.
