We were driving up highway 101 in central California this past Winter and noticed that the landscape was drier and browner than any Summer we'd lived through here. The lack of familiar Winter green shocked us, and we channeled that feeling into our music. "The Well" was born. We're excited to have the beautiful voices of Rising Appalachia singing in sweet harmony with us as we join the tradition of bringing song to a struggle in our community and raising awareness of the seriousness of this drought. 

We'd like to take this opportunity to help bring more thought to water conservation, not only when we're in a drought, but as a daily part of our lives. Water is a precious thing. We can all do our part to change our water-wasting ways and keep the wells from running dry. This is the last of my "best-of digital" series - moving forward I will start buying music again this week and continue to integrate it with the best of what I have collected before.

It's been a wild ride from first having my mind opened to dancing in the desert at the October 1995 Moontribe which changed my life, to being first asked to play a dj set there in December 1998 (and every month thereafter), to this set 16 years later.

This set is one of my personal favorites and is being released in 2 parts.  Here I present part 2 - I will follow with part 1 soon so that they can be listened to consecutively.  Part 2 is more on the dreamy trippy house side and is my favorite part of this set.  What was really fun for me was playing with the different textures and warped melodies and getting them to interact in a melty, dreamy flow.  Well that's how I saw it anyway :)

This set is dripping in psychedelia, a journey deep into eclectic territories of electronica. The setting was perfect, a bushy Mojave Desert location, its 2pm, people had been dancing their asses off since 10pm the night before, and now its time for Treavor to dive deep into the slower grooves oozing in mystical soundscapes and grounding tribal vibes!!!

I was commissioned by yoga instructor Jessica Annand to craft two one-hour mixes for a yoga retreat taking place in July 2015 at Stewart Mineral Springs Retreat Center near Mt. Shasta, California. While I've played live during yoga sets before, this was the first time I'd created any in the studio. This is the first of the two. The word "Yitha" means "One" in the Karuk tribal language, indigenous to the region. There are gentle beats and expansive spaces in this mix, as per her request.

Brad was born a music lover. By high school he was DJing backyard parties in Long Beach and had already become addicted to the latest 12" vinyl releases. His love and passion for cutting edge electronic music has not abated since that time.

Now a veteran of the West Coast rave community since 1992, Brad continues to perform regularly in the U.S. and Canada. His interest in the environment, yoga, and his philosophical nature are conveyed in his musical choices. He can energize any crowd with his seamless mixing, whether in a warehouse, intimate club, or out in the open desert. Brad defies classification by experimenting with a variety of musical genres, often cutting between techno, minimal, tribal, progressive, acid house, and breaks. He blends many intricate soundscapes to create the flow and funkiness that is essential Brad. His eclectic mixes take the listener on a musical journey where time and space seem to disappear. Using the language of music to unite and celebrate the earth and humanity is Brad's goal. Brad has been a resident DJ with Southern California's legendary Moontribe Collective since 1996.
