Whether we call them dimensions, realms, frequencies or worlds, more and more people are opening to the possibility that there is much more to existence, or reality, than our senses perceive.  What and where are these other worlds and how do we get there? The answers may just turn your current world on its head – and give you safe haven to retreat to and explore, when you need one.

Matthew Earl is a science graduate and former ‘spiritual sceptic’. An interest in self-development led him to explore meditation, and he began teaching to pass on insights and techniques that he uses to quietly take all areas of his life to a completely different level. Now living and working in London, Matthew teaches Raja Yoga meditation through courses, talks, and workshops.

Sister Alka has been leading a spiritual life from a very young age and is an open hearted and generous person who combines administrative skills with a natural creative ability.  She is responsible for communications at the National Co-ordinating Office of the Brahma Kumaris in London.

The story, Taylor and the Bright Light is the story of a loving boy who experiences jealousy and sadness for the first time when his parents bring home new twin baby sisters. He climbs into his tree house and cries until he can cry no more and then becomes very quiet. Then it happens! All of a sudden a bright light appears in front of him. Taylor realises he doesn't feel sad anymore; he feels safe, happy and warm all over. Eventually, Taylor and the Bright Light become friends. Bright Light can become every child's best friend too. The Notion of Happiness   
Happiness is not a notion, nor something that can be perused.  Most of us have a notion of what makes a happy life, or an ideal lifestyle. However, it can often be these notions which actually block the real living happiness dwelling in our beings right now no matter what is going on in our lives.  Instead of notions, motions, potions and lotions, we may discover that the deepest happiness emerges from the deepest stillness.  
 
In this lecture we will explore:
What is real happiness, and how do we cultivate a happy life?
The difference between happiness and pleasure
The most common wrong notions about happiness
How to experience unconditional happiness in daily life


Denise Lawrence has a deep understanding of spiritual knowledge and practice drawn from more than 40 years of studying and teaching Raja Yoga meditation. She travels widely sharing her knowledge and experience. Denise co-ordinates the International Communications Centre at the Brahma Kumaris Headquarters, Mount Abu, India. She directs several Television series including "Virtues, Values, Ethics and Morality", "The Meeting of Science and Spirituality”, “The World We Want” and "Fireside Chats", bringing the work and ideas of the Brahma Kumaris to a global audience.

It’s all about living from the inside out. Self love, self appreciation, self nurturing and self care are essential if we don’t want to fall into the trap of living upside down, the wrong way round and back to front – namely living from the outside in! The trouble with living from the outside in is that it means your feelings are pretty much up for grabs and under the control of everybody else and everything that’s happening – recognise this?? Sure you do! Because pretty well EVERYONE lives from the outside in.

Tonight hear about how to switch the fundamental flow of your life, using meditation and simple understandings about the self to slowly but surely bring back power and resilience to the soul.

Minal Patel is an actor for stage, film and TV. From an early age he has enjoyed the company of raja yogi meditators. As a teenager, Minal decided to incorporate more spiritual principles into his daily life and applied his positive energy to volunteer work, especially with young adults. In recent years he has become known as the creative force behind a popular Christmas theatrical event held at the Brahma Kumaris main UK centre in London. Minal says the teachings of Raja Yoga have helped him face many challenges of life and loves that success is becoming his friend!
