Psychedelic pioneer label Phantasm Records' series part #2 will be presented by the Israeli downtempo/ambient project SHANTRIP. 

Shantrip is an Israeli psychedelic downtempo / ambient music Project. The project formed in 2011 composed, programmed and produced by Roi Levi. The Live includes A Full Band Hosting top musician Players with verity of Live authentic acoustics instruments, Live Drums\woodwings\strings and percussive section along with Timeeless Analog synthesizers and FX. The first release came out on 2013 on Nutek chill records. Shantrip already played in top festivals big festivals such as Doof , Moksha & Boom Festival . Shantrip released on 3rd of merch a new compilation on Phantasam Records compiled by Shantrip called VA Anti Particle, and made a huge impact success and reached first place on beatport dub chart top 100 releases. Furthermore, later on this year will be releases Shantrip new album and Shantrip & Amigos EP… Tune in, Trip out.

Maor Hasbani from Tel Aviv is the man behind the new promising electronic project,
Gumi.
In the late 90’s Maor stumbled upon the electronic side of music, 1st in the more classic genres including Rock, Progressive, Jazz & Fusion .
A Few years later Maor began his long a fruitful career in the local psychedelic trance scene, pretty much in all levels…from production to promotion…
What led him to the creation of Gumi :
Just by understanding the title word Gumi, meaning elastic, gives us the expectation to a flexible fluent atmosphere of sounds ,and surely the result is such. A project with a mix of a new eastern oriented music, not in an obvious way, but rather in a creative blend of clubby style, bold analog baselines that convey a warm feeling contrasted by 303 acid lines. Diverse, Tribal with ethnic drops.
Elastic sounds with a gloomy psy touch and old school analog sounds.
Beautiful melodies in well told stories.
Maor Hasbani is putting up a terrific blend of fused styles into a strong concept with endearing storytelling.

This is a live recording of my set in the magical "FAIRY BOX" at Project Heart in Tulum, January 2018.

The sheer beauty of the Mayan Selva (or jungle) makes you realize how important it is for mankind to revisit its relationship with the natural world. Together, we CAN make the Earth a better place. It starts by respecting ourselves, each other, and this gorgeous planet we come from.

I am SO grateful to have had the opportunity to play for such a genuine, open-minded and energetic group of individuals. My goal with this set was to create a vibrant journey of love around the world, but also through space and time, embracing both light and darkness.

Celebrating 20 years of the BMSS family and ten years of BMSS the record label, "Return to the Source” brings together sonic synthesis from all corners of the multiverse. 

17 tracks representing the mature tone of BMSS, which has evolved over the last two decades into a style that pays tribute to the source of our scene by disregarding trend and convention. An eclectic selection gathered by label manager and globe trotting DJ Boom Shankar to challenge standards that breed conformity and reflecting his own personal style that prioritizes story and flow over genre and BPM.

The story told by this 20th anniversary release unfolds in two parts. The journey begins by taking you back to the source and the darker side of the Psychedelic spectrum. Chapter 1 revolves around the intense magnetic power of the moon. 

Defiant, relentless energy distilled into: one of the last tracks by the recently departed Hux Flux, new music by psychedelic pioneer Total Eclipse, Japanese production perfection from Majide, Triceradrops and his hybrid psychedelic Techno, Dark Nebula and Datacult’s re-imagined “Beyond that Door” experienced through a Gamma Goblin filter, the prolific PsiloCybian and masterful productions by the legend worthy Braincell, Imaginary Sight and Lucid Mantra. Their sonic wizardry is designed to reinvent and reconnect you as you embark on this epic odyssey through the underbelly of moon-time music.

Clever re-interpretations of ancient Goa trance classics stand alongside the intensely psychedelic visionary art of Aashit Singh. His visual fusion of the old and the new creates a bridge between the past and the present where Plus 6 Masterings' full bodied analog sound gives each audible detail a clearly defined space.

In short, this is how we can describe what is happening in track number one, the aforementioned Paradigm. This piece in itself and its original form already was quite a typhoon with serious ammount of freak'in groove spilling out of the speakers , now received a completely new life and shadows , thanks to the injection of the 2Spirals vision. The drive that this composition possesses , will turn your guts upside down like the inner granade . This EP is a type of release that you cannot pass by if you love juicy, rolling and dripping with healthy energy full on psytrance.
