It is also the story of old and young. The story of an „old“ man, that has been mangling his brain with psytrance since the middle of the nineties and his unknown „son-kid“ that came to him through the wires of an internet-connection as they shared the same love, the same passion and the same amount of weirdness.
So we now invite you to dive into our universe of sound. Follow the groove, let yourself drown in the atmospheres and take a deep breath before our lead sounds guide you into the light of darkness!

Metasonic is the psychedelic DJ project of Sidney van Dyk. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa now living in Bangkok, Thailand.

Since first being exposed to psychedelic trance music and culture in 2009 he fell head over heals in love with both.

He believes that the psychedelic trance journey at it's roots is one of the most liberating and freeing experiences one can have. Be it progressive day-time to Full-on night time to Darkpsy etc, etc, etc and all the myriad of genres in between. The journey it takes you within your own consciousness and who you are after experiencing this journey of sound and self is what made him fall in love. 

Hence the name, Metasonic(meta - after / sonic - sound) is a tribute to that place in all of us that we reach after being taken on a psychedelic sound journey.

His vision for this project is to bring about journey sets to take the listener to that special place inside themselves.
