I wasn't expecting ska when this started out.  Not many people could pull off putting this many entirely different styles of music into the same mix and make it work.  Nice!

Jace Syntax DJ set on a quiet RIOT - 3rd December 2016

Brainhopper DJ mashup for our outdoor rig..so more music than the usual intellectual meanderings, but still don't expect a normal set. Any style is thrown in  with hard tek and mainstream house. i.e. Classical, rock, latin, ska and jazz.  

Starts out with Fleetwood mac then messes around with mashup of modern contemporary pieces (capriati, babicz, Zo).  Experiments start about halfway through, with fusion of Brazilian tango and spaghetti westerns followed up by complete madness and mayhem with a touch of jazz to ease things down.

no brain stuff this time, Just to remind myself can do something  with regular tunes !

Its rough desktop messaround, created in break times between studying, so not mixed in the home studio yet. . the idea with the confusing glitches is that they throw in a mind wobbler to create non-rhythmic dissonance, that get resolved steve reich style, but I need to get into studio to get these right as they are best done by bouncing the sound from one audio PC to another live

rough edges aside I  think the remix starts to take the tune somewhere new and uplifting half way through so could have potential to be redone to higher standard at a later stage (say that about a lot of my tracks !).

I hope you'll enjoy the fully remastered version of my original overture I've made about 1 year ago, unfortunedly I am still not fully recovered to make a completely new song yet, bit I promiss I'll be back again soon.

Here is as promised finally a solo project from myself, and I am sorry you had to wait so long my loyal listeners and friends, but this piece was so difficult, that I preferred to work on collabs for awhile, so in the meantime I had all the time to work on this piece in peace and harmony, so it would come out right as it should. 

My intention was to write a libretto (for this piece of music) to give you an idea what this piece is about.
Unable to find the proper words to text it properly, I did put it into this Ouverture, which I believe would tell you more, than I or any words could say.

Although It’s a little over 9,5 minutes, there are 4 stories (Symphony movements) going through the theme, and I’ll tell you a little about it briefly.

The title say it all, “Is this the world we’re living in” , we live in such a rush, that we forget our loved ones, our friends and the people who need our help because they are sick or just need our attention, and we live with thousand questions.

The Beginning of this piece starts with the world we’re living in right now, rush, hate, war and chaos.
Then it’s followed by the 2nd part it’s the attitude and vibe we should live in, peace and harmony, and the’re’s a follow-up that everybody can fill in their selves in what for them is more importend at this moment to accomplish their goals.
The 3rd part brings you back to this world and goes over to the 4th part wich bring harmony and peace what we really want, and it’s composed so that everybody can fill in their own words and needs, to be able to forget their worries, sorrows and pain, and finally find peace in their hearts and mind.

Or as Roy Rodriguez discribed it in his own words when he heard this piece:

warning this track has very high sub 40hz beats with what "feels" like modulation to brain alpha and theta frequency.  The low frequencies sounds I found on stuff from an old audio file collection, re-rendered, EQ and edited them. If somebody recognizes them post a comment thanks.

An oldie that got the OK for release by Soma records..if "I cleaned it up".  I thought they mean the structure, but now its clear it was a re-master they needed.  I have a bad habit of not  chasing up commercial offers, due to being into too many things at once.  OK it is dated now, but I think was one of the first tracks to fuse jungle beats with trance.

Welcome to my corner for alternative tracks which tie together studies/research computational neuroscience and the human condition (look for concept tracks in sets section).  I basically write as perception of a concept alters when you write it into music. For me anyway.  It does appear the concept tracks are most popular going by the feedback on them.

Just a hobby really when certain things are on my mind so most are unfinished from a while back.   I dont really get much time these days for writing music, but a new studio is being built slowly and another dozen or so tracks in production... but this time I will finish them properly before release.

For making these tune I play keyboards, bass and occasional lead guitar. I also load up samples and loops into live Dj mixing software using touch screens to improvise effects and mixing.

All dumped into and mixed/edited in cubase, but laterly since i dont need midi, wavelabs audio montage and laterly ableton is a much easier system
