Over the last five years, Evolution Chamber has emerged as a label committed to setting itself apart. Founded by Task Horizon, Receptor, and Magnetude, the label was established as a sanctuary and creative outlet for their music. Always dedicated to pushing the boundaries of Drum & Bass, the label has steadily expanded its catalogue, eventually becoming the exclusive home for Joe Ford and Ekwols.

From its inception, the long-term aim was to not only to cultivate a platform for their own music but also to also provide a space for emerging artists to thrive, giving rise to the 'Transmissions' series. Now, with great pride, Evolution Chamber unveils the second instalment of ‘Transmissions’’. As anticipated, it promises to deliver an experience beyond expectations.

In this subsequent release, the series maintains its approach by featuring a collective of artists from all corners of the globe. Spearheading the EP is Lance Dance, a fresh face from Russia (previously part of Saint Robbers), leads the charge blending melody with weightiness with his track 'Kill You'. Adding to the mix is the debut of Polish based Belarusian Skrimor, offering a glimpse of what’s to come in the future with 'The Rave Feeling'. Returning to the label is Tenkei, representing Switzerland and infusing African influences with the vibrant 'Maho', while the familiar Austrian-Russian trio TNTKLZ offer their second serving on the series with the characteristic dark roller 'Pay Your Blood'. Bringing the release to a close is the first of many trans-atlantic collaborations by Volatile Cycle, Dropset & Konquest as they close off the EP with the vocal dancefloor destroyer 'Damocles.

‘Transmissions’ not only serves as a platform to showcase emerging talent, but it also serves as a gateway for artists aiming to release on the label in the future. The future of music is now, and Evolution Chamber continues to set upon the mission in nurturing the next generation of musical innovators.

The upcoming drum & bass release in the neurofunk genre from French producer Theezer is a sonic masterpiece that is sure to leave listeners in awe. Theezer has once again proven his talent for creating hard-hitting beats and mind-bending melodies that push the boundaries of the genre.

All puns intended, the brainchild of the label has manifested from three local DJs turned Promoters and Producers from the West Midlands area.

Matt Trotman (Tollgate Shindigs) has been no stranger to the inner workings of the Drum & Bass scene with a history going back as far as the early 2000’s where he established his ‘Nocturnal Combustion’ event in the heart of Coventry booking a whole host of well known acts you see today.

Legends such as Andy C, Ed Rush, Bad Company, Bryan Gee, MC Flux and the mighty DJ SS graced the stage at these events for many years.

Fast forward to 2023 and BrainRave rears its ugly head in the midlands with a brand new forward thinking outlook on the Neurofunk Drum & Bass scene, bringing in new partners and long time friends Ian Gulliver (DJG) and Rob Steele (DJ Lumie) to the team to take the brand to a whole new level. 

Lots to come from BrainRave in terms of events, releases and takeover sets this year and beyond to help rewire the circuitry of the scene as we know it.

*EDIT*  We welcome in Dennis McClung (DJ Syn) from across the Atlantic, UK based music journalist Marc Chisholm (CHIZ) and UK based MC/DJ/Producer James Lock (BassPhaze) to the BrainRave family with a view to helping push this brand to its maximum potential.
