ON|RUST as it appears here on soundcloud is the first stage of a small project that is actually called O|N|RUST consists of this track, plus a Bandcamp version (January 2024 - supplemented with two short pieces for percussion and electronics) and a 2024 small scale vinyl release. I've built a number of rhythmic sound machines especially for this piece which mainly consists of the hum and interference of electrical equipment supplemented with an electric guitar drone. Mastered by Rupert Clervaux.

The inspiration behind the title of this piece comes from the song "Stupify" by Disturbed. It's an interesting choice made by Keith. I recommend paying close attention to his stickings and the notes he plays. He alternates between his dominant and weak hands while playing the ostinato, which adds a unique dynamic to the performance.

Additionally, Keith shared with Sven the impact that Autumn had on the sound itself. He mentioned that just like how snow makes everything quieter, trains sound louder at night during October in the USA. It's fascinating how the environment can influence the perception of sound.

As a second fun fact, there was a significant person named Autumn in Keith's life. The story ends there, leaving it open to interpretation.

UFO Hawaii is the music project of Künstler Treu, the Berlin-based composer and music producer.

Treu has played in various bands (Dauerfisch, Der Plan, Mutter), released many records under different monikers and pseudonyms, had his own radio show called "The UFO Hawaii Radioshow", and is currently mainly working as a composer for film- and TV soundtracks.

For Thread Radio, he plays a 90-minute mix of Kraut, Lo-fi, Minimal, 80s, Library, Darkwave and Electronica.
