I REALLY enjoyed getting to write, record and sing a second vocal section for this as well! Being that I've experienced roughly 5-6 years of lingering HPPD symptoms and drug-induced psychosis/derealization/depersonalization, the inspiration for the lyrics I wrote at the end really sort of speak for themselves at this point..... New track release! I wanted to make a DnB/Half-time combination with emphasis on cat meows. The meow recordings are courtesy of my cat, Odin. He sat on my bed, leisurely enjoying his jolly way of existence, and meowing persistently without ceasing. As this happened, I managed to capture such a great moment through my Aston Origin Microphone and then threw that recording into FL Studio. This track is littered with his plentiful and abundant meows throughout. Enjoy!!! New Music! I intended to have this up on the 22nd but I wasn't feeling very green beans and mashed potatoes that day, so I just didn't upload it. 

After navigating some psychological spirals of my own past and future dimensions, being a past version or life that no longer exists, and a future version or life that isn't even here yet, I've found my way to the present moment of being right here, right now 'enough' again to share with you this new track that tells the story of depersonalization, derealization, dissociation, and a rough bout of psychosis and HPPD I experienced after a spiritually and emotionally heavy night in 2020 and a car accident I had in the weeks following that night.

Solar Soul In Solitude

New tune! I've scratched my head on this one for close to around two months now and finally got to a point where I feel like I'd be comfortable enough releasing it. The entire track really began in a Sound Design session that was never intended to lead to what would be a whole track again lol. I had a vision of what I wanted this track to be and represent for me, with a lot of emphasis on square shapes specifically, whether in oscillators for sound or in animation for the audio-visual story (Which, the music video is still to come. I'm taking my time with fine-tuning it first though before I release it.)

Started messing around with Square and Pulse Waveforms in u-he's "Tyrell N6" Synth VST Plugin and became really taken in by the roundness to the sound in the top-end. Not sure if I've heard a Square Waveform quite like it, at least, synthesized digitally. I liked it enough to create the melody that plays throughout the beginning of this track, and from that melodic progression of Midi, this track was birthed from there. The entire 1:30 seconds had already been finished for several weeks before I finally went ahead and dove back into the project. Ultimately really glad I finished this one in the end. Enjoy!

Hello, wonderful humans of earth. I am BRAINWAVE also known as Jimmy Tripp, or Jimmy Tripp also known as BRAINWAVE, and this is a Vocal track written to inspire all, but mostly to inspire myself, to brush my own teeth for 2 minutes, each day, twice a day. That's why the song is right around 2 minutes long! I don't normally rap, and I haven't done much spoken word since "Thread" which was recorded back in 2019 before the Pandemic. I used to do a lot of spoken word on my old 2015-2016 Aliases, "My Dearest Darling" and "Count Insanity." Although both of those projects were much more depressing by nature of the lyrics and vibe of the tunes, and both have been discontinued, I've enjoyed the idea of bringing Spoken Word or Rap influences back into my BRAINWAVE music again. 

This song is a hybrid of influences derived from Weird Al Yankovic and Daft Punk, mostly. You'll hear what I mean especially in the Chorus section with the Vocoder and Talkbox work on the vocals. Vocoder took, and this is no exaggeration here either, over 6 or 7 hours. Just the Vocoder alone. My hope with this track is that not only will it make you giggle or chuckle heartily, but that it will also inspire each of us, both young and old, to brush our teeth for two minutes, each day, twice a day. (Or even just once a day. I'm usually fortunate or blessed if I can remember to do it that much LOL. The purpose of this tune IS TO BRUSH MORE OFTEN though hahahahahaha. Calcified plaque has plagued my existence for longer than I, or even any of my family could say.) Anyway, Enjoy!!!

Mean Hygiene

Hello there, wonderful humans of the planet of Earth that we inhabit! I am Jimmy Tripp (In my flesh form) also known as BRAINWAVE (by my alias form) or BRAINWAVE also known as Jimmy Tripp, but you can just call me whatever you want, honestly lol. 

I began making this Vocal track in August or September 2022. It's Incredibly inspired by both Owl City and Mr. Bill, mostly with the vocal tone and glitchy percussive elements throughout. This track took a long time to actually come back around to mixing and just finishing. I was hesitant for a long time to actually go back to the project. It hits a deeper chord with me than some of my other tracks. A bit more emotional and personal as well. 

I finally decided within the past month or so to come back and put the finishing touches on it. This Lyrics video itself was also fun to make as well! Made using Gimp and Filmora Wondershare. Enjoy!!!

Hello, Wonderful Humans Of Earth! I am Jimmy Tripp, also known as BRAINWAVE, or BRAINWAVE, also known as Jimmy Tripp! Welcome aboard an absurd and obnoxious locomotive that is just as insane as the word "loco" might imply.  I started working on this track in February. This track is about a few different things. It's about the crippling weight or social pressure in society to stay in consistent communication with friends and family even when the battle of mental health feels like an uphill climb or rollercoaster. The idea of feeling like an outsider or outcast or observer always looking in through the phone or computer screen, but feeling incapable of piecing the words together to have conversation with others. It's also about how the present moment is the only destination we ever really have at any given time, so just focus on crossing today's finish line or set of goals you have. Tomorrow's destination has enough worry of Its own, so today's is all there really is to concentrate on. You got this! Let tomorrow be as relevant as it can be when it comes, but for right now, working on today is more than enough. Did you shower? Is that all you could do today? Great job. Did you complete 5 things off of your checklist? That's also awesome. Great job, too. Were you unable to do much of anything at all today? That's okay too. Great job just still being here. Simply just being in the right here (Present space) and the right now (Present time) is a great accomplishment you've made as well. You're doing what you can to get better, and that's what counts. You don't have to dwell on the rear view of the course that the locomotive is on, and you don't need to dwell on what is too far ahead to really see. Right here and right now is more than enough. Keep going at your own pace!

So I started this track about a month ago. It basically represents countless All-nighters I've pulled throughout the years to create music, and feels especially relevant to the last year of pursuing it full on.  Enjoy!

Long Nights In Summer

This is a vocal Drum and Bass track I wrote over a month ago and have had finished for a while now, but was skeptical as to whether or not I'd be comfortable releasing it. Well, I broke through that comfort zone regardless and just decided I'd release it. It's my first vocal track released since the release of "Begin" back in March, so needless to say, It's been quite a fair amount of time since I've released a vocal track. There's a heavy emphasis on the story being conveyed through the lyrics in this one, as It's a bit of a personal track touching on where I was from 2015 to most of 2016 (And maybe even further back than that, honestly) and attempts to portray the emotions and feelings that many of my friends and family relatives were likely feeling at the time of my departure. Lyrics below:

Who Are You? (Far Gone)

Okay, so I'm doing a 3 day uploading binge where each day starting with today, I upload a new track each day. So as previously just stated, this is day 1 of the uploads: "Recollection."

This is a Narrative atmospheric, cinematic-meets-IDM track. Each movement within the song tells the chapters of a person's mind that is slowly beginning to become more aware of their own dreaming state, ultimately leading to their awakening as they become more lucid throughout and aware at the end. This was actually a ton of fun to make and I've had this one finished for about a month now. Enjoy!

Recollection

This is the third installment to the trilogy of the 3 day uploading binge I've been doing. The conclusion to this upload frenzy. Toadstool Tower.

This track was a ton of fun to make and once I had the idea for it, I couldn't wait to get to work on it. It attempts to capture the mind as being a video or computer game world in of itself, having different stages or levels of cognition and functionality. The intro and outro represent entering and leaving the tower, while everything between that represents traversing the different floors of Toadstool Tower. The mind is a spiritual and creative playground. I hope you enjoy and this was a wonderful release marathon.

Toadstool Tower

Here's a new vocal track inspired by the Fall season. It was pretty fun to make because throughout the entire process of writing the lyrics, I was sitting outside thinking about how much I couldn't breathe through my nose due to allergies. Inspiration hit at that moment to write this song. It's a bit of a satirical track about the hardships and struggles one may be up against when facing pollen. Enjoy!

Verse 1: "I smell pumpkin spice as leaves begin to fall. *Ringing phone* What's that sound? It's nature's phone-call. The air is chilly from
this cool October breeze. Thanks to our allergies, we're bound to sneeze."

Pre-Chorus: "I can't recall, how long It's been, since I could breathe through my nose, my friend. My eyes are pink, It's hard not to scratch, is this the end?"

Chorus: "Winter will you come and save us from the pollen? we cannot remember when we could see clearly. Medication never really helped us out in the end. Autumn can be so unforgiving." 

Verse 2: "Where's the apple cider on this cold October day? *Sneezes* Too close for comfort, keep the dust mites away. Scarecrows don't startle me as much as congestion does. So difficult to go outdoors when my mind is in a fuzz."

Unforgiving Autumn

This track was made a little while back and was really fun to make; first  concocted whilst bathing in the shower though, of course. It's a hybrid combination of Chiptune, Happy Hardcore, Drum and Bass, and Eurobeat all working together as one element. Enjoy!!!

Caffeine Machine

Here is a new IDM track called "Palpable Intuition." Originally, the idea for this track was based entirely around a different direction, but ended up shifting into this instead. (I was originally intending to go for a video-gamey intro, but ended up liking the atmospheric intro a lot more instead, and it fit the storyboard a lot better in my head.) Enjoy!

Palpable Intuition

(Disclaimer: I wrote, produced, recorded and finished this track back in February. It took me until now to finally decide to release it though. At a later point in time, I actually plan on just completely reworking it. It's worth noting that you should follow along with the lyrics below in order to really follow the story, because this is very story-driven. It's actually a conversation between two characters; the patient, and the doctor.) 

This song was really, really, really fun to make. Because I got to combine two of my favorite things into one: Spoken Story-telling/Voice acting and music production. This track goes back to back between spoken narrative and actual singing. It's a story of a man who has gradually lost his mind and soon finds himself at the beginning of this story being a patient in the psychiatric office of Dr. Derpenstein; an equally, if not more estranged character in this story. Dr. Derpenstein is voiced in spoken word, narrative form while the patient is represented through singing. This is the story of someone who wishes to feel like they're back to normal again mentally, which ironically enough comes through inevitably accepting how insane they are. Through Dr. Derpenstein's therapy sessions, this patient must learn how to love for who they are, or else their self-inflicted mind hole will consume their well-being. Enjoy!!!

Dr. Derpenstein

Hey guys, sorry It's been so long since I've uploaded anything. I've been traveling out of town a bit and the music I have been making in the last 2 months or so I just haven't released. I'm really glad to be releasing this one though. 

Story: A boy dreams of space travel. He peers at the stars through his grandfather's old blue telescope and wonders if he could one day join those little lights in the sky. "You know, son, those stars are much bigger than they appear. They're lightyears away from us, but up close, they are enormous balls of gas." Grandpa said. The boy's eyes beamed with fascination. "Just like the sun?? We learned in school that the sun is a massive star in the sky!" Grandpa chuckled heartily and then replied, "Yes, lad. Just like the sun. Although these little lights are much smaller than the sun, to be fair." 

The boy was silent for a minute and had a determined look on his face as he continued to gaze upon the lit up sea of starlight above him. "Grandpa. One day, maybe I'll be able to catch one of those stars for all of us." Grandpa's right eyebrow rose and a grin rested upon his face. "Really now? And why would we need a single star here on earth?" The boy, his innocence clearly obvious to anyone, replied earnestly, "Well, grandpa. The way that the world looks sometimes is so full of darkness and people are always getting angry with one another. I figure that to hold even just one of those stars and be able to keep it here on our planet would remind people of how much light there still is." Grandpa sat silently for a moment, expressionless. He put a gentle hand upon his grandson's shoulder and replied with a smile. "My boy, your intentions are pure and genuine, but to be completely honest, you and the rest of our family are my earthly star." Grandpa and the boy went back inside of the old log cabin as time became rather late to be staying awake. 

The boy went to sleep that night, dreaming he was an astronaut in space; his voyager drifting swiftly and in steady motion to the soundwaves he was hearing among the comets and asteroids. This song documents his travel from beginning to end.

Audio Astronaut

New track! Sorry that It's been over 3 months since I last released new material (I've been in the midst of working through some personal trials and learning how to healthily get out of my own head.)

I actually have had this track finished for the past 2 months, but I spent much more time fine tuning it within the last couple of weeks or so. In the place that I was in when making it, I wouldn't have released it. I would sit there and nitpick at every tiny inconsistency that I notice. Now, in this new setting/scenery, I really don't mind releasing it (And almost wonder why I spend so much time being so self-critical or bashing myself with my own subjective feelings of my work.) 

Ultimately, I'm glad that I'm finally releasing this track. I'm planning to release more vocal works throughout the year as well.
I'm taking small steps to achieve bigger goals, but that alone is teaching me some much needed patience/delayed gratification! Enjoy!

Hey guys, I'm sorry it's been eons and ages between releasing new tracks. I'm finally feeling myself get back into the groove of releasing new music. So yeah, I'm still alive. A lot has changed though since my last release, "A City For A Sparrow." I'm working at a trippy retail job, with great people. I moved back to my hometown of 12+ years again. I'm saving to purchase a functioning car and am quite possibly nearly to my goal. I am still creating though. I promise. I appreciate your patience with me, and if I'm taking a long time to respond to people, please, please forgive me for it. I do care. A lot. I've just really had to figure out my own mind, soul and heart again. Thank you. <3

This track was without doubt, incredibly difficult to not only write, but to sing and create as well. This song is about September 7th, 2016. The night of my last suicide attempt. It was a night where the attempt almost worked. I almost wasn't going to make it to this day today. It's a difficult and real subject to speak on because of how stigmatized it is. People usually don't speak out and say that they're dealing with it because they're afraid of how it'll be received.

I see you. You're doing the best you can. You feel everything so deeply. Just be you, and the rest of the world can adapt. You are unique and original. You have a voice. You have such great things to offer, so don't rush. <3 There's no rush. You may be told you're not
giving enough or doing enough. To who's standard? Who told you that, and who gets to say that that is objective truth? It's not. People only see you through their lenses on life, and those lenses tend to be
shaped by their own subjective experiences. If all they've seen is a dark sky, It's all they will believe exists. They can't see your rainbow. Just shine, and thank you so much for still being here today. <3

After a fierce battle with the Soapy monstrosities of the Home Cleaning aisle, Neuron made his way over to the Toilet Paper and Paper Towel section of the store. This was quite the predicament....Some rabid customer had been here and thrown Toilet Paper all over the floor and onto random shelves! That isn't all either. The Toilet Paper was self-learning. It was becoming sentient and forming itself into a remarkably dastardly structure. IT BECAME A LIVING TEMPLE. Neuron knew what it was he had to do....As breathtaking as this place was, he had to dismantle it from the inside-out. So, in a moment of courage, Neuron entered inside the Temple...
