The second Neural Oscillations takes us to London for a mix that is dripping UK-style music from the first second to the last. We’re really happy to host one of our more recent inspirations from across the channel: https://soundcloud.com/lmajor. A member of the highly respected https://soundcloud.com/westnorwoodcassette and Club Glow collectives, Louis Major is a rock-solid DJ and a brilliant producer whose tracks such as “Danger” or “Ravin Cru” you have definitely heard in a dirty basement before. Expect classic synths, jungle breaks and pitched vocals on this one.

C’est avec grand plaisir qu’on accueille une de nos inspirations d’outre-Manche: @LMajor. Membre de collectifs respectés tels que WNCL Recordings et Club Glow, Louis Major est un DJ de qualité et un producteur hors-normes, et dont les titres “Danger” ou “Ravin Cru” te rappelleront la belle époque des soirées pre-confinement. Au menu: du gros break, des vocals sur-pitchés et du synthé vintage.

Having released a phenomenal EP on klunk in 2019, remixed 96 Back for CPU and dropped a 2-track of cloud-inspired ambience with Happa, he has easily become one of our favourite new producers in the UK. Delivering a mix to match, we present his ferocious blend of wonky polyrhythms and techno geared for dance-floor destruction. An essential for any socially distanced party...

NSMA-MIX-010 | Jabes

@diletamtl: This mix is an experiment in dynamics between various ultramodern 'cool vibe' corkers and house stompers, with some UKG and 100-something drummy chugging thrown in for good measure. When assembling it, I tried to focus on two things. First, rhythm juggling and layering, often changing between diagonal lift and forward propulsion, and second, toying with the impression of free fall through the use of ascending and descending high-pitched synths and abrupt drum pattern changes. There's also a fair share of cheeky fun inside. Thanks so much for listening!
