Interdimensional Transmissions’ techno sublabel Eye Teeth relaunches with a fresh series of releases featuring the solo and related works of Israel Vines — a fresh KGIV 12", an EP of remixes, and his debut LP. The triptych begins with the stellar “Regulatory Capture EP" — a collaborative effort from Vines and Chicago artist Kit Geary presenting their third release under the KGIV guise. Here we find them exploring new ways to own and expand the current style of techno and breakbeat fusion in the title track “Regulatory Capture”, while the chthonic "Morgan" twists distorted vocals and synth lines over a bass heavy foundation built to put the sound systems through their paces. "Blue Octavo" extends their evolving ideas into melodic territory, closing the EP out in a deep and refreshing fashion. Don’t sleep — this release is pure power.

I made this jam on the Elektron Digitakt which I send back to the retailer lately. The Digitakt is a great sampler, but I realised I needed something bigger - the Octatrack was the only alternative, cant wait to finally get my hands on this monster! Imagine how much I am looking forward to the day he arrives since I already advertise the Octatrack in my artwork, without even using it before :)

Rising Again

One of my hands-down favorite electro labels is Berlin's mighty @mechatronicamusic, a label and party collective run by @mejle, @electrodon, @milanhermess and @daribone, so I've put together a mix of a track each from (almost!) the first twenty releases (I didn't include number 19 because it's not really my thing - sorry!), covering their powerful electro sound that draws from artists across Europe.

Estebahn c'est : 12 kilos de breakbeat UK hachés menu sur une salade jungle, EBM et poulet frit. Faites revenir dans une cuillère à soupe de 90’s hardcore et saupoudrez d'acid house ou de new beat selon la saison. Dégustez dans un club sombre ou le dimanche en famille.

Mais Estebahn c’est aussi un enculé, aussi à l’aise dans la haute société genevoise qu’avec d’obscurs producteurs allemands, qui défend les couleurs criardes de sa famille, le label et collectif Brainwaves. Producteur, DJ, programmateur, secrétaire, guide touristique et traître à sa patrie, il mange sans vergogne à tous les râteliers. Son dernier EP “Circular System” est correct mais pas ouf.

Operating out of Melbourne, Australia, dj osprey (aka Olivér) has found his passion for music within the city’s ever-expanding music scene.
He co-organises a collective named ‘Synesthetic’ and has found a passion in running events that incorporate a balance between audio and visual stimuli. 
He has played alongside the likes of Simo Cell, DJ Gigola and Reptant.  
Dj osprey keeps things strictly electro and aims to look beyond the current trends of the genre to find a sound that is equally as immersive as it is interesting.
