Ara-u announces a new electro compilation on his label No Static / Automatic. Titled The Exiled, the album showcases the sound of artists he grew up with in his local scene in Venezuela and also sets out to raise money to support the local community. All born in the town of Maracaibo, Ara-u, Manao, Elektor, Dagga, Confidential Recipe and ELO contribute to the release with a total of 8 heavyweight, high energy tracks.

The Exiled brings together a new generation of exiled artists who left the country for economic and political reasons. In the process of working on this release it has allowed them to stay connected and bring a creative sense of joy to their home country. All proceeds from the release will be donated to Santa Cruz De Mara which supports the elderly community living in poverty and struggling to survive, providing much needed accommodation and food.

“I've seen all of these kids growing up ever since they used to come to our raves and they all started making electronic music . When I say kids, I mean they are my little brother's age Dagga apart from Elektor, who used to DJ a lot at our parties. They are all starting to do really well, I'm really proud of all of them as they have developed musically in foreign countries in different music scenes after leaving Venezuela caused by economical and political reasons. Manao :
Born and raised in Venezuela, Manao is the convergence of many influences. Inspired by sounds from all around the world, his journey always embodied an eclectic approach to electronic music.
Now based in Germany, his experience and inspiration have entered a new stage. Finding most influences from 80's electro, ghettotech, techno, and jungle. Deep basslines and hard-knocking 808's served in different tempos, mirror the Avant-Garde profile of today's underground electronic music scene.

Ara-u and No Static / Automatic :
Venezuelan Electro producer Ara-u’s music career started in the late 90s as a key figure that brought rave culture to his home country through community and events.
He’s now been based in the UK for over two decades, and in early 2020 launched No Static / Automatic as a platform for his own production as well as from his close affiliates and respected peers. His releases have had firm support from Dave Clark, Alienata, and Solid Blake and he has collaborated with Radioactive Man in the past, releasing 2019’s Plastic Attack EP together.

The track comes as part of the 7th installment in their Angel series, in which all profits are given to Dundee based mental health charity, Art Angel.

PREMIERE • JLM Werx - The Acid Bass Machine [Hilltown Disco]

Detroit's Francois Dillinger delivers a powerhouse dark, rolling electro EP on Woodwork with an absolutely stacked roundup of remixers. Known for judicious use of subliminal elements, Francois Dillinger's tracks invoke suspended animation and visions of steamy psychedelic haze blurring a backdrop of neon street lights.

'Poison Us' opens the set with a laid back spacious vibe. Stuttering kicks and claps keep the track pumping under gutteral resonant bass echoes and mysterious atmospheric swells.

'Black or Blue' hastens the operation with determined breaks and huge ominous synth accents. Cyclical arps drag the mood into the gutter, setting up a satisfying reboot of the full groove with some added punch.

'Replicant' exemplifies expert use of hit placement. A steady rocking break and percussive pulses push relentlessly behind vocoder echoes and dark minimal melodic pads. By this point any listener should be absolutely entranced and assimilated.

'Ergotized' amalgamates raw synth barks and drones with textured minimal breaks. This number serves up a menacing slab of repetitive elements, working well as a meditative ambient cut, or an atmospheric mix layer.

Fleck E.S.C. steps in with a freaky version of 'Poison Us'. A spooky suffocating barrage of dissonant string pads slices across Fleck's abstract beats... bass and kick creating a narrative with synth layer highlights that jangle, sparkle, and bounce through the syncopated punchy vibe. His added vocal phrases introduce a contextual twist.

Pip Williams tackles 'Black or Blue' with his signature pump and punch. Restrained 303 acid through an external filter provides an infectious hook, backed up by a set of techy stabs and spacious shifting fx that bring us in and out of transitions brilliantly.

At the summit of this monster EP, Jensen Interceptor puts 'Ergotized' on total blast with industrial and EBM elements crossing paths with heavy mid tempo breaks, dressed in modular clicks and analog drum hits. He adds some envious high wave hooks and pushes the dissonant strings one notch higher for a deeply effective powerhouse version.

Each remixer does total justice to the original cuts, maintaining the deep trippy vibe that is essential to the music, while adding subtle but strong character points to the revamped works.

A short but comprehensive 7-step guide to the destruction of heavenly bodies, by Dr. Brian B. Waves:

1. Observe, analyse, take action and neutralise the external defence systems before infiltration.
2. Dismantle the governance structures and remove all charismatic leaders from positions of power by means of public executions. Expect resistance from the underground, do not let it foment, break it at its core and assume the position of the dominator.
