@gonima has been on the SVNSET WAVES radar for 6 years now, so it is a true, true honor to finally present his new EP, Strands, with you all. The EP features four gorgeously intricate new original tracks from the Montreal-based producer, each fizzling and dissolving into a mesmerizingly complex yet comforting world. I can only imagine that this is what a computer's daydreams might sound like.
In addition to the four original tracks, each song has a coinciding remix. From @heoliene's hypnotizingly clicky minimalism, to @brakence's super-textural glitch pop, @jimkimchi's vast hyper-IDM complexion, and Permutia's (@fltx & @m_y_s_e_l_f) goofy illbient banger this EP truly has something in it for all the glitch heads.

This track’s what it feels like when your body reboots but your soul’s still buffering. You’re halfway between the void and the vending machine, tasting copper and bad coffee, wondering if you died or just ran out of RAM.

It’s ugly, kinda funny, a little too real like if God’s blue screen had a beat.

I didn’t write this to be poetic. I wrote it ‘cause my chest monitor keeps humming like it knows my secrets. Because the nurses keep saying, “You came back quick,” and I keep thinking, not all of me did.

So yeah this one’s for every time you blacked out and woke up laughing.
