This is a track I originally covered back in June, but after that I dropped Famitracker until October of last year. I remember struggling really hard to figure out the notes when I covered it, and I posted it here on soundcloud sorta unfinished. The other night someone liked it here on soundcloud, and it made me remember this song, so I covered it again from the ground up. Check the improvement between the two for yourself, it's crazy! Hey everyone! I made this cover to celebrate Daisuke Amaya (or Pixel as he is also known), the creator of Ikachan and Cave Story, who turned 39 yesterday! I meant to finish this for yesterday, but I got really tired last night and just finished it up today. Daisuke Amaya is definitely my favorite game developer, and my biggest inspiration, and if not for him I probably wouldn't be making any music at all today! Now that I'm done with this cover I think I'll celebrate by playing through all of Pixel's games back to back! Hope you enjoy this cover!!

Hey everyone! Little late posting this, but it ended up being a lot more work than I anticipated! Spirit Tracks was actually my first Zelda game ever, back in 2009, and while I didn't get very far, it sparked a love for the series as a whole. I remember I would constantly just go on the train to hear this track play, and did this same thing for many years after that. Looking back this might be the first video game song I really fell in love with, so I owe this game for several things haha. Anyways, I think this turned out fairly good, and I hope you like it! TLoZ: Spirit Tracks - Realm Overworld - 8-Bit Remix [Famitracker VRC6]

Hey everyone! I think this has to be one of my favorite songs in Undertale, there's just so much emotion packed into this track. The Waterfall is a pretty somber place, with the echo flowers telling a tale of monsters wishing to leave the underground but being unable to, and this track accompanies this story perfectly. EarthBound - Battle Against A Machine - 8-Bit Remix [VRC6]

Hey everyone! The idea to cover this dawned upon me when I stumbled across it yesterday after not hearing it in a while! The song itself is very... empty sounding, which is fitting for a mansion. In order to make it sound a little fuller, I added a bit of the melody that plays while you're outside of the mansion, and also added some light rain and thunder sounds. Interestingly, this track was composed by Kazumi Totaka, known most for his composing work on Animal Crossing. You know someone's a good composer when they can go from something as happy as Animal Crossing to something as creepy as Luigi's Mansion, mad respect for that man. Anyways, I hope you enjoy what I did with the track and thanks for listening!

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Triforce Chamber - 8-Bit Remix [VRC6]

Hey everyone! I really like this track a lot although I ironically don't care much for Super Mario 64. I know, I know, I'm awful, but I just never saw as much appeal in it as most others do. I really like Mario games but it's one of the few that I'm not in love with. Anyways, I put a LOT of time into this one, and while I was distracted, I would say a solid 5-6 hours of constant work was put into this one. I really hope that shows! I did a lot of things that I think made the track sound fuller over the original, with some extra melodies and stuff. Thanks for listening and I hope you like it!

Pokémon Diamond and Pearl - Route 216/217 (Day) - 8-Bit Remix [VRC6]

Hey everyone! Sorry I couldn't get this up last night, the internet in my hotel room was absolutely awful. Thankfully the hotel I'm in now (and will be at for the rest of my vacation) has extrememly fast wifi, so getting remixes out should be no problem! Anyway, this song is already 8-bit in the first place obviously, but I went with a sort of RushJet1 inspired expansion to the original song, using the MMC5 chip. It didn't take too long but I didn't have a whole heap of time last night either, so I did what I could! Hope you enjoy, and thanks for listening!

Super Mario Bros. 2 - Character Select - 8-Bit Remix [FamiTracker MMC5]

Hey everyone! I got a really good response to the Super Mario Bros. 2 cover posted so I decided to do another song in a similar vein! This one is actually way more detailed though! To explain as shortly as possible, the original version of King Dedede's theme was in a different key and was only about half as long as every version from Super Star onward, which featured an entire second section before the loop. I've thought for a while about covering that original key version but then adding that second part, so that's exactly what I did! In addition, I added some DPCM and two extra channels with the MMC5 (along with loooots of effects) which I think overall really makes this sound pretty cool! Kirby's Dream Land - King Dedede's Theme - 8-Bit Remix [MMC5]

Hey everyone! I've been working at requests but progress has been slow (in no small part due to Pokemon Go..) so I wanted to get something out that I could get done in a shorter time span (Also tomorrow I'm doing something special which will make sense when it's done!) Surprisingly, as far as I could tell, no one has done this song in VRC6 before, which is crazy to me. You'd think someone would have done it by now! I did everything I could think of to make the song sound better, which includes DPCM instruments from Super Mario Bros 3. I also made use of arpeggios in this one, which is something I've been trying to do more often! Hope you enjoy, and thanks for listening!

Hey everyone! Sorry that the covers have been coming out so infrequently, I just started a new job in the last couple weeks and overall just haven't had a whole lot of time. School is starting in two weeks so I imagine that I will just keep trying to get about one done a week since that should be manageable! I started playing Animal Crossing New Leaf recently with a friend and have been having a good time with it. Super Mario Kart - Koopa Beach - 8-Bit Remix [FamiTracker VRC6]

Hey everyone! I've been meaning to finish this one for quite some time, and with the release of the demo (and therefore high quality sfx free music) I decided to finish this one! Emulating the GSC style is a little weird because the bass sounds like it's an octave higher than it should be PLUS all battle themes back in those days had no percussion whatsoever. This makes this cover sound a little barren, particularly at the part before the loop. That being said I did the best I could with the limitations and tried to make it sound as nice as I could! The song as a whole is really cool, and I can definitely hear some different generations of Pokemon influencing this track. I hope you enjoy and thanks for listening!

The original song on Gameboy gets rather high pitched, and I decided to emulate that, as lowering an octave didn't sound too good. Hey everyone! Well this is certainly a first! Although I have uploaded some older original compositions to SoundCloud, I didn't feel that any of them were good enough to post here on YouTube. This however, I feel is worth posting! I actually composed this, along with a couple other tracks, for an indie game project several months ago. As I'm no longer involved with the project, I've decided to go ahead and post one of the songs I did! This track is meant to invoke Pokemon vibes as well as a definitive... beachy feel (hence the name, haha). I wanted to get across that the battle taking place was of a playful nature. This is the longest song I've ever composed and the one I'm post proud of! Hopefully you all enjoy and I'll be posting some more original songs soon! Thanks for listening!
